Emily Rose POV
He smirked and pecked my nose. "I missed you, Gorgeous," he said softly to my flushed cheek.
"I see that," I teased, raising one eyebrow. He drew me closer to him by wrapping one of his arms around my waist.
"Are you all right?" With concern in his eyes, he inquired.
"Yes, but I would like to never experience something like that again," I replied honestly, leaning into his touch.
"I will do my best to keep you safe," he said, kissing me again. When he was exploring my mouth in front of all the wolves, my cheeks flushed, but when he moved away and I quickly looked around, no one cared about us.
"Alpha!" Nate summoned me from the garden. He stood next to the purple tulips, which matched his eyes. "We are on our way to the border."
