A fraction of a second. Alpha needed to almost kill his twin brother at this precise moment.
It was a terrifying sight. I have never seen him act like that before. He was completely out of it, enraged, with crimson-red eyes. He was a vengeful monster. Our only hope was that he could not shift. I was not sure, but if Rhett had been present, he would have taken over sooner rather than later, and we would all have died.
Even the Princess was no match for the crazed, enraged hybrid. Only the King could install him, but he was not present, so we were basically screwed.
I grabbed Brion's shoulders and tried to assist Axel in getting him away from Matt, but he was as solid as a concrete wall. He did not even move. He might not have realised we were attempting to move him.
