    I brought one of the wolves toward me by motioning my hand and making them fly through the air toward me, eliciting another satisfying whimper to escape. I repeated the process that began earlier but with much more anger and less gentleness. I listened to the cries of their wolf as the magic was ripped from his body without warning and dropped him to the ground with a thud before he scrambled to escape the house.
