Chapter Thirty-Eight

    I woke up seconds later, blood dripping from my nose, my family surrounding the salt circle, and a large white wolf standing right in front of me. I blinked my eyes for a few seconds trying to see clearly and once my vision was no longer blurred the moments before I passed out entered my mind and I couldn’t help the grin that stole my lips as I witnessed my twin brother in his wolf form. I lazily wiped the blood from my face with my dirt covered t-shirt and stood to hug the wolf in front of me, muddying up his pure color in the process.     Noah nuzzled his head into my arms in a silent appreciation for what I had done while everyone else just watched in awe. “I knew you could do it.” Maggie spoke with pride after I pulled away from the pillow soft creature. “My girl, the hero.” Dyl
