Chapter Twenty-Seven

I stretched out my sore muscles, eyes still closed, taking in the smell of the morning air before the previous events hit my mind like an assault and my eyes slammed open to see the familiar surroundings of my room.  What happened? I frantically jumped out of my bed trying to figure out what had happened when the smell that intoxicated me filled the air and almost a second later Dylan knocked on my door. “Blake, are you up yet?” I was going to respond but instead just opened the door and wrapped my arms around his neck. Many of our wolves died in that battle and I didn’t know how many had survived so to see my mate in front of me like this made me feel like I could breathe again but my breath caught in my throat once more when I had a sudden realization. The battle was far from over.
