I sat in the living room of Dylan’s pack house in the darkness going over notes that Maggie had emailed me for bringing back Noah’s wolf. It seemed impossible and I didn’t want to give him false hope but he was already so happy that I had to believe that I could do it too. “B?” I heard Dylan come down the stairs. “In here.” I called out. The light from my laptop was the only thing illuminating the room so it took a second for my tired mate to see me in the dark. “Why are you still awake?” He yawned and laid down next to me on the couch, putting his head in my lap.
