Alora’s POV As we walked through the forest I noticed the only sound was of the crunching of dried pine needles under our shoes. I stopped to listen for birds in the trees and normal forest sounds. Everyone else stopped along with me. I listened and the forest was dead silent like there were no living creatures in it. I was instantly on edge, feeling like this was a bad idea to be here. “What is it?” Calum asked in a low voice. “There’s nothing.
