Akira's small hands cradled the delicate flower, its petals a vibrant shade of pink that matched the flush on her cheeks. She had always been able to grow flowers with a mere thought, a gift that brought her joy and comfort. Tears pricked at the corners of her eyes as she gazed at the flower, her heart aching with a mix of sadness and longing. "Akira, dear, don't waste your time with those flowers," her mother, Lila, chided, bustling into the room with a hint of exasperation. "You need to focus on your studies, not daydreaming. Lila's expression softened, and she sat beside Akira on the bed. "I know, sweetie, but you need to understand that your father and I want the best for you. We want you to have a stable future, a good life." Just then, her father, Kaito, entered the room, an evil grin spreading across his face. "Ah, Akira, my dear, I see you're still indulging in your little hobby." He reached out a hand, his fingers brushing against the petals, and plucked a single petal from the flower.
