Chapter 37
Joel couldn't shake off the feeling of unease as he walked back to his room. Bella's words kept echoing in his mind
"I have pictures, Joel.
Pictures of us together. Pictures that could make it look like we're still involved."
He knew he had to protect Zara from Bella's schemes. He couldn't let her ruin their relationship.
As he entered his room, he saw Zara sitting on the couch, looking beautiful as always. She smiled at him, but Joel could sense a hint of concern in her eyes.
"Hey, how was your meeting?" she asked, getting up to greet him.
Joel hesitated, unsure of how much to reveal. But he knew he had to be honest with Zara.
"It was fine," he said. "But I need to tell you something. Bella showed up at my room earlier."
Zara's expression changed from calm to concern
