Chapter1
Chapter One
The feeling was warm, his hand wrapped around her waist and drew her closer for a feverish kiss.
She moans loudly, giving him easy access to explore her mouth more, almost begging for a moment to catch her breath.
Their wet lips devouring each other were the only sound in the room as he led her straight to the bed, still not breaking the passionate kiss, he laid her on the king-sized bed gently.
She could feel her stomach making some weird flip-flops as she watched his silhouette pull away from the kiss, to take off his t-shirt.
Even though the room was completely dark, and they could barely see each other, her eyes traveled from his broad chest to his abs, her hand betraying her as it moved on its own to touch him, he raised his eyes to look at her from her hand which was placed on his abs, a flirty smirk plastered on his face before grabbing her hand slowly, bringing it to the top of her head as he slowly lay back on her softly, planting on her now plump and red lips another series of wet kisses, one of his hands trailed over her waist, lingering a little on the arrow tattoo and straight to her laps before sliding it into her dress, she almost gasped as she felt his hand inside her dress.
"Shhh" he whispered to her softly before placing a soft kiss on her neck, causing her to let out a soft moan, causing him to keep kissing the same particular spot on her neck which was now red from hickeys, she bit her lips hard, "K...kiss me, please" She begged, drunk from the pleasure of the moment.
And without thinking twice, he granted her wish, taking her lips into his own, she slowly wrapped her hand around his neck as he released them, responding to his passionate kisses as they sent her into a world of ecstasy.
"Mommy!" "Mommy!!"
A small-sized hand shook Zara gently, jolting her awake from her erotic dream, which has become a regular occurrence almost every other night, where she dreams of flashbacks of that night.
That night when she lost her virginity to a stranger, a stranger whom she barely remembers what he looks like. No, scratch that. She doesn't remember at all. She was completely drunk, they both were.
She regretted having that one-night stand, but she doesn't regret the outcome of it, which is her beautiful four year old daughter, Ruby. The most adorable eight-year- old.
Since she had s*x with a stranger who she knew nothing about, not even his mobile number, a lot of things changed in her life, and being Ruby's mom was the only thing that gave her hope when she lost the will to live. The only thing that comforted her was when the world came crashing down on her.
“Mommy! Why are you still in bed? Are we staying home today?" Ruby asked, before climbing Zara's bed.
This woke Zara up completely, and she rushed to grab her phone to check the time.
8:20 am
"Fu-" She quickly stopped herself from swearing in front of her daughter. "Holy Mother of Christ! We are late Ruby! "
She jolted out of her bed, already panicking because she was twenty minutes late for work. Ruby had been sick for a few days, so she took a sick leave from work. She probably got used to waking up later in the morning, she was also catching up on her deprived sleep from the late nights she kept due to Ruby's illness.
Also, Zara has to admit that one of the multiple reasons she woke up late today was the usual dream she had overnight.
"I tried waking you up several times but you wouldn't budge," Ruby said, shrugging her shoulders as if to say it was not her fault we were late.
"I'm sorry baby. Mommy was tired" Zara replied, giving her daughter a small smile.
Ruby pouted in response, "Is it because I was sick? I promise not to fall sick anymore."
Zara stopped halfway to the bathroom, "Mommy is not complaining, but thanks for promising though. It's my fault we're late. Now, have you brushed your teeth? "
"Yes, I have."
"Good girl" Zara patted her head, straightening her jet-black hair in the process. She doesn't remember much about him, but she remembers vividly that he had shiny black hair. Just like Ruby does.
Zara walks into the building where she has worked for the past three years plus, dressed in a white chiffon shirt tucked in black bootcut pants. The atmosphere exuded class, wealth, and affluence.
That was no surprise for The Watson Hotels, one of the top five hotels in America. She walked briskly towards the office, when she got closer to her desk, hushed voices filled the air as her colleagues whispered, talking among themselves.
"Good morning." Zara greeted me in an enthusiastic tone.
Only Natalie noticed and heard her, others were too engrossed in their gossip.
Natalie has been her friend since she started working at The Watson Hotels. She was the first person who was nice to her in the cutthroat world of The Watson Hotels. Even though Zara was cold to her at first, Natalie did not give up on befriending. Given her goofy and bubbly personality, that little "mission" of hers didn't take too long before Zara gave in, and they became best friends ever since.
"Zee!" Natalie rushed towards her and engulfed her in a tight hug. "I miss you so much!"
"You came over to my house yesterday Nat.” Zara mumbled.
Natalie let her go to give her a mock stern look.
"I mean I miss my colleague Zara Andrews. Just say you miss me too, you stubborn mutt."
Zara laughed slightly at her friend's retort.
She looked around her, her colleagues were still whispering amongst themselves.
"Nat, what's with the mood today? Why is everyone looking....tense?" Zara asked.
"Oh right! You don't know about it. A VIP is coming in today." Natalie replied.
Zara gave a blank look.
"VIPs come in every minute at The Watson Hotels." She said as she settled down at her desk, turning on her desktop.
"This particular VIP is a VVIP, Zee!" Natalie rolled her eyes at her friend for not getting the message quickly.
Zara still seemed lost and continued to give Natalie a blank look.
"My goodness, you're hopeless! Joel Watson is coming in today! Mr. Watson's son, as in sexy hot Joel, the actor." She tried explaining to Zara excitedly.
"Oh..." Zara replied with a bored tone.
"You don't know Joel, do you?" Natalie asks, and Zara shakes her head actively.
Natalie released an exaggerated sigh.
"You are hopeless, my dear friend."
"Zara, Mrs. Carter asked you to report to her office." Lindsay, one of her colleagues, announces. Zara could almost see her roll her eyes at her. Lindsay has had this dislike for her since she could remember. Not like she gives a damn about her and her unknown reason for the hate.
Zara nodded wordlessly at Lindsay and stood up to leave for Mrs. Carter, who is her supervisor's office.
"Come in" Mrs Carter's muffled voice replied to Zara's knock on the door, from inside the office.
Zara opened the door and walked in.
"Hello Zara, welcome back to work. How is Ruby doing now?"
"Hi, Mrs Carter. Ruby's fine, she's doing a lot better. Thank you."
"Please sit." Mrs. Carter gestured toward the chair in front of her. After Zara sat down, she continued," So as you might have heard, Joel Watson, Mr Watson's son is coming over today. And he's not like our regular VIPs, aside from the fact that he's the potential successor of the current CEO, he's also going to be residing here, he's staying in the hotel permanently."
Zara raised her eyebrows a bit, wondering why the so-called Joel Watson was staying permanently in a hotel when he could afford the mo
st luxurious houses in City Z.
"Well, my point here is, you're going to be Joel's attendant for the next three months."
