As they entered the party, Joel and Scarlett were immediately struck by the opulence that surrounded them. The room was filled with wealthy and influential people, all of whom seemed to be under Emily's spell.
"Welcome, Joel and Scarlett," Emily said, her voice dripping with sarcasm. "I've been expecting you. You're just in time to witness the culmination of my plan."
