I was born in a small bushy village in Rachuonyo Homa Bay County, Kenya. The village where people shared almost everything with some wild Animals. I can remember when I was growing up we used to shared food with monkeys, every lunchtime monkeys must come for lunch at our home.
In the year 2003 there was a drought in part of Kenya we really struggled to get water, one day when we were in school at around 2pm a group of chimpanzees came out to look for water, they started chasing girls away from school our teachers was a fraid and we had called a village warriors.
A village Warriors or a Village Warrior is a group of youths very strong men they are trained to protect the village just in case of any attack from our neighbouring village or attack from our enemy or attack from Wild Animals. I can remember when I was 10years old my dad wanted me to join village warrior but my mum wanted me to go to school.
No one valued education by that time most of the youths were fisheries, hunters and Village warriors, most of the women were farmers and house wife's. For us to go to school everyday tje teachers had to give us sugar every lunchtime so that we can go back to school the next day.
The girls were being forced to marriage once you are 16years old you were being forced to find an husband.
Me i was an athlete so I got a scholarship to study in the capital city of Kenya Nairobi, after finishing my high school I came back home and started teaching our people the value of education. It was not an easy task to convince our parents but we managed to do it
