I remained bothered by what Sophie said. She sounded pretty certain that s*x between us meant nothing to her.
To be fair, I had been the one to say those words to her in the first place. In my defense, I had been pissed at her for leaving me and then taking a day off from work. I barely registered the words before they started spewing out of my mouth. By the time I realized what I said, I regretted it.
