I opened the door letting Jessie enter, she pulled me into a warm hug. I had invited her over to keep me company during my day off and hang out since it’s been a while because of my busy schedule.
“I’m so glad that you came.” I smiled at her warmly and was very happy she was always ready to pull up for me. “Come on in.” I gestured her in and closed the door behind me. This was the first time she was at my adopted father's place and I was more than excited to have her over.
“Of course, I had to come, I’ll always be here for you.” She smiled at me before looking into the house and froze in shock. I stared at her dumbfounded as I tried to understand why she was acting that way.
