My breath froze in my lungs as I watched the scene before me.
Sophie and Madison were on the floor, both of them angry as heck and looking like two cats about to claw the other out. Behind me, my assistant, and quite possibly, the entire office stood, watching. I had to do something.
“Why are you two embarrassing me?” That was the question that I wanted to blurt out at that particular moment. Instead, what came out from my lips was an indifferent, slightly annoyed, “Madison, what are you doing?”
Madison, who looked like she had just been about to smack Sophie upside the head, suddenly gave a pitiful look as she stepped towards me. She had her arms around me in a hug. I could not turn back to look at my assistant; I could not look Sophie in the eye either, so we stayed for that
