Chapter 32: Always a first mistake
Kylian's POV
The invitation towards the peace-keeping of territory came at the worse time. A time when I did not want to leave my palace for anything. It was mandatory for all Alphas to attend and as much as I loved to perform duties, this one irked me.
The events before the invitation was too much for me to leave with a calm state of mind. I was working on exterminating a few rebels on my pack. They blended so well with my members making their identification impossible.
Certainly, I knew they had to be working for someone, someone who was against me and hated my very existence. That was one of the reasons I kept my mate's pregnancy away from the public. Only the palace workers were aware of her baby but her curse surely spiked up some rumors.
