Maya's POV.
Kylian helped me up from the bed after the doctor left before leaving for me to change into my clothes. I had asked him to leave earlier so I could change into the procedural gown; I was suddenly shy of changing in his presence even when I was fully aware that we'd had something intimate before now.
I couldn't wrap my head around my reasons for the sudden shyness, perhaps it was normal, what we had at the first meeting was just a one-night thing, I wasn't used to him like I was to Barry, and I had to keep to my privacy to avoid fueling the unwanted feelings that were fighting it's way out of my heart to leap forward, it might end up being a disaster like the first.
