Chapter 8
Maya's POV.
“You are welcome to my home,” he whispered as we arrived at the enormous mansion that I had sighted from afar.
I could only nod in astonishment as the size and beauty of this new environment consumed my mind, how in my mind, I was finally glad to take the ridiculous action of leaving home; at least it fetched me somewhere better. But then, I had to shorten my excitement; I don't really know what awaits me here, so it would be foolish for me to delve into celebration without being sure of what life holds for me in this new place.
“Welcome, Alpha; how was the hunting?” A middle-aged woman approached us immediately. We walked into the mansion and greeted the Alpha, who I had met in the woods.
