Chapter 7

Ace’s POV

Today I woke up I changed my bandage and got changed. When I walked into the kitchen I could smell some bacon my mouth started to water. “Hope your hungry” he smiled with his pearly whites “Yes very” I sat down at my usual spot and ate breakfast with him. After he handed me five small bags with a white powder inside. I put them in a hidden pocket and walked to the door just as I opened the door Danzel turned me around and kissed me. He slipped something in my pocket and I continued out the door. When I checked I saw two white panadol tablets “Thanks!” I shouted back at him. When I got outside I had a drink of water and drank the tablets. I walked into school seeing Kacy. She looked absolutely shocked I smiled. “Why? How?” I just laughed in her face and pushed past her making sure I hit her shoulder. Hard. She winced as I passed her and I scoffed. I walked into C.G. “Detention for skipping school yesterday” ugh “I was sick sir. The school knows.” I sat at the back again and waited for the bell. As it was friday I walked straight to geography. “b***h” I whispered in Kacy’s ear as I passed her. She pushed passed me but I didn’t budge and I put out my foot so she tripped on it. I pretended it wasn’t me and walked into class. I wanted to walk back out and slam her against the wall but didn’t. “Ace” I looked up to see charlie I had to sell him one of the bags today “Yes” He showed me the money and we swapped. I got bored halfway through class as we were watching a boring video so I played stuff through my contact. After the lesson I was on my way to maths when I felt someone grab my wrist. Why do people do that I turned and pushed the person to the wall. Kacy. “How did you survive?” I scoffed “maybe next time don’t hire a dumb ass” I said walking off “he wasn’t” she yelled after me “He was and he is dead” I yelled slightly quieter back. All off a sudden she fell to the floor crying. What the f**k?! “You killed my brother?” Ooooooh. “Well maybe you shouldn’t have sent him” With that I walked off. Half way through maths she came to the door her face red “Sir I need to talk with Ace she is my best friend” What the f**k “Like hell I am, b***h” I yelled at her. She burst into tears again “We have to sort things out” What? “What are we sorting out? We were never friends and never will be. I refuse to be friends with a fake ass bitch.” I said rudely to her making her run off crying. Everyone looked at me. “That was not polite Ace I am giving you a detention.” f*****g great “Sir, She is the reason I missed two days of school because she attacked me. I said what I did so I don’t have to talk to her” Everyone who saw me beat Cat scoffed. “Fine, I will let you off this once” Ha, yeah. Charlie leaned over “Nice one” I half smiled and went back to work. When recess started Kacy came up to me and wrapped her arm around me. I grabbed it and twisted it pushing her into the wall. “f**k off!” I growled. I walked over to the tree I was supposed to meet people at and swapped the stuff. Once I was done and the bell rang I was on my way when I felt my bandage gets wet. f**k it’s going to go through. I walked into one of the bathroom stalls and patched it back up. I then walked to science. I went and sat down in my seat and saw Kacy walk in the room with scrape up the side of her face. Woops. Everyone turned and looked at me. I just shrugged. When the teacher walked in she took one look at Kacy and laughed “ ‘bout time someone taught you a lesson” Everyone was shocked. The teacher then walked out again. Kacy started crying again “Oh, Shut up Kacy we get you are a sook” I yelled at her “Finally someone agrees” said Jack I laughed “Oh shut up Jack” She said between her sobs “Why because you can’t handle the pressure” I yelled back “No she just can’t handle criticism” said charlie while oscar nodded. Everyone was now giggling at her. “Everyone just shut up” She yelled “Why?” said Kleo “Because you are giving me a migraine” I laughed “Sook” I said while fake coughing. “b***h” she said back. “Dumb s**t” I said “Killer” everyone laughed “What did she kill your reputation?” Hope said “Yes among other things” she said glaring at me “What reputation?” I yelled at her. She started crying more. “I am going to kill you Ace” she yelled “Already tried and failed sweat heart” I said back at her. Everyone that was in my maths class understood what had happened. “If bullets can’t kill you something else will.” She said acting all smart “Is that a confesion?” When she realised what she said her face went white. I was also filming the whole thing. “N-no” I laughed. When I saw the teacher walk back in everyone went quiet except Kacy who kept crying. “Kacy if you keep crying I will give you a detention for disrupting the class” calmer is a b***h “Y-you c-can’t do that” she sobbed. The teacher wrote on a blue slip oh yes I can and I did she put the slip on Kasy’s desk and walked off. Kacy cried even harder. At the end of class I walked to assembly and took my seat. “We will be given a talk today by the AFP please respect them” uh oh. “Hi guys, Today I will talk about bullying” ugh boring. I fell asleep during assembly and was only woken up by everyone's clapping at the end. I got up and walked out when it was over. “Ms Petrovia!” I heard a familiar voice shout. f**k my life. “Yes, Officer?” It was the guy I gave my sample to “I just wanted to let you know your DNA tests were all clear sorry for disturbing you” Thought so “Okay bye” I said walking off quickly so I didn’t have to talk to him anymore. “I thought I told you to back the f**k off” I heard someone yell. I looked at the source. “Daren?” he was yelling at a little kid who was crying “What’s happening?” the kid quickly wiped away his tears “Nothing. I was talking to my brother.” Like hell “Are you okay little guy?” He nodded “Sounded like you were yelling at him” I said “It’s none of your business” I don’t care “I am making it my business” I bent down to the kids height “Want me to walk you back to class, Kiddo?” He nodded again I stood up picking him up “Where do you need to go?” He pointed towards a building. “Put him down!” Daren shouted after me but I ignored him, “What is your name?” I asked “Ben” He said quietly “Mine is Ace” he looked at me “Like the card?” I nodded “I am number one” I said cockily. He giggled. I put him down in front of the building “You good now?” I asked he nodded and walked into his class. I walked back to the oval finding a seat “Why the f**k did you do that?” It was daren “What?” he got even more annoyed “You carried my brother away. I was still talking to him” I rolled my eyes “He clearly didn’t want to” Daren looked really pissed “I will just talk to him later” That pissed me off “You hurt him in any f*****g way and I will hurt you ten times worse got it” I hissed at him. “Fine, Whatever” He walked off after that. I heard the bell ring so I started heading towards my last class for the week. When I got there I sat down at the back as usual. “Hello class. We have officer John joining us today”  No. “Hi everyone.” It was his voice. I immediately texted Danzel:

Me: He is in my class

Him: Who?

Me: John turns out he is a cop

Him: How do you know it’s him?

Me: His voice

Him: Hang on 

Him: I just emailed the school for a leave pass

Me: Okay Thanks

Him: I can’t pick you up so just go home

Me: ok

“Ace” I looked up and saw the teacher holding out a note. I grabbed it and walked out “Here” I said handing it to the front office and walking across the road. When I got to my door I unlocked it walked in and locked it up again. I walked over to the TV in the gym and put on netflix and watched that while on the treadmill. I got off that ten minutes later and went to sleep in my room. I woke to a loud noise. I shot up and pulled out my gun slowly walking out of my room. What I saw was confusing and funny at the same time. It was Danzel trying to put up a picture and he had fallen on the ground in the process. “Need help?” I laughed out “Yes please” I walked over to him and helped him up and I hung up the picture. It was of us on the flight to New York when I was really bored. “You kept it?” I asked “Yeah, Why not?” I shrugged and when he hugged me I didn’t fight it. “I also have news” by his tone it was good “What?” he looked unsure “Now don’t be mad but I enrolled in something” What did he do? “Okay?” I said. “I enrolled in school” I broke into a smile was it the same as mine? “Which one?” I hope it was the same “The same as yours” I looked at him “I am happy for you” I said not breaking my smile. “What made you want to go?” I wonder if... “You” he replied in a deep tone I hadn’t heard before “me?” I said quietly gently brushing the hair that fell in his face to the side. He grabbed my hand and leant in to kiss me “Yeah” he said against my lips. “What about me?” I said pulling away and sitting on the couch and turning on the TV “Everything” He said sitting next to me and pulling me onto his lap so I was straddling him. I rested my head on his chest. His heartbeat was really fast matching mine in sync. The moment felt magical. “How am I so lucky?” I chuckled, “I have been asking myself the same question for a while now” I said snuggling into him “Oh really,” I nodded “How long?” he said his voice still deep. “Wouldn’t you like to know” I said getting up and walking to the kitchen. I heard him following behind me and when I went to the sink for some water he just leaned on the cupboard looking at me dazed. “You look cute when you are like this.” What does he mean? “Like what?” I asked taking a sip of water “When you think you can tease me and get away with it” he said stalking towards me uh oh “Tease you? No” I said walking backwards until I felt the wall. God damn walls. He kept walking towards me until we were inches away then he reached out for me and started tickling me. Agh! “I’ll stop if you surrender” Nope not gonna happen. I shook my head. He kept tickling me “I surrender, I surrender stop!” I just managed to laugh ou. He finally stopped. “What’s for dinner, chief” I said saluting him when I said chief. I was still laughing and smiling I only feel this good around him. “You’ll see” Ugh “You better not ditch me tomorrow” I said trying to look serious “Why would I do that if the whole reason I am going is to be with you Love?” I never think things through “I don’t know, but we will have different timetables” He tapped his chin “I made sure we had the same timetable. Can’t get rid of me that easily” I laughed again. I think I...um…I think I love...um...him. “What are you thinking about?” he said sort of childishly “You” I said smirking “Cover your eyes” he said walking over to the fridge I covered my eyes hearing him walk and put something on the stove. I then heard him walk off and come back with something “move your hands but keep your eyes closed” I did that and felt him tie his tie around my head. I could smell mince meat. While I was running Ideas through my head I hear the stove being turned off “Can I open my eyes?” I asked “Nope” ugh I am really curious as to what he cooked. “Now” I lifted the blind fold and in front of me was my favorite food of all time. Pasta pillows also called Ravioli “I love you thanks you so much” I said jumping into his arms “I love you to” OH MY GOD! We just said it! I never thought I would ever say those words. We both sat back down and started eating. I finished first so I got seconds. When I sat back down Danzel patted his lap so I sat there instead. “I really do love you” he said looking into my eyes I looked back into his “I really love you” I felt my heart getting lighter and lighter. If I died right now I would be happy. I finished up my seconds and put my dish in the sink with Danzels and quickly washed the dishes despite Danzel telling me that I didn’t have to. We sat down after I was done on the couch and found something to watch on netflix. I started getting sleepy half way through. I once again fell asleep on danzels lap. It was sort of becoming my favorite place. I love him.
