Is the end of the world near?
This is a story about him and him. Five years ago he ruthlessly left him far away and he woke up with his life turned upside down. Five years later, he has looked down on life, but he came back with a vengeance. Five years ago he lost all of his money, and now he finally found it. Five years ago, he lost everything and got himself into this mess where he has been trapped. He sat at his usual table in the back corner, as always. His eyes were glued to the screen on his laptop, but he was not really paying any attention to what he was doing. He had already checked the news that day and knew what it said; the world was coming to an end. It was time for those who did not want their lives to end to flee from here. As long as they can get out of this city before it falls down, there are still some places where you could survive. Some people have tried to leave, but most people who have gone, didn’t make it. The city was too big and even though most people escaped, only a handful of them made it outside. His friends and family didn’t know that he had left. They don’t need to know, because if they found out, then he would be screwed. They never ask why he leaves or why he doesn’t come home anymore. They think he has gone on business trips and he does come back sometimes to stay overnight, or sometimes just a few days. If they find out that he is working on something important, like he used to work on, then it will ruin their lives. They think that he is fine, when he comes back tired from running from place to place and he tells them that he hasn’t slept since the last time. As soon as he felt like he could stand up without collapsing, he stood up. His feet carried him through the crowd of people, making sure that he kept a safe distance between him and everyone else, even though he knows that he cannot escape. People are not allowed outside during an apocalypse, so he was lucky enough to be able to stay in one place. When his phone buzzed in his pocket, he didn’t even stop to look at the notification. The man in front of him stopped in his tracks, giving him a death glare, which made him chuckle. This was getting boring. He wanted a little action, so he took his phone out, opened the app, and put it on speaker.
