1217 Words
Maria and Natasha finished preparing dinner and called everyone. “Where is Emma?” Sebastian asked. “She is coming, we just called her,” Natasha replied. They sat down and started eating. After a few minutes, Emma come. “Hey, Sebastian,” she said cheerfully. “Hey, Emma. You good?” Sebastian replied. “Yeah, I’m good, and you?” “Well, a few injuries but I’m good.” “What happened? These two,” she pointed at Trevor and Maris, “just told me you went to take care of something.” “I don’t even know where to start from,” he said, mouth full. “Well, just the important parts. Like who kicked your ass?” Emma said, taking her share of the chicken from the saving pot. “Charles and those two friends of his.” “Mulenga and Alinani,” she answered. “How do you even know their names? You even know Siobhan,” Trevor said. “Well, my father was involved in a lot of things. So I usually mentioned them.” Emma replied. Minutes ticked for a heartbeat then. “Do you know anything about Charles’s breathing fire?” She waited until she swallowed her food then, “he belongs to the royal family. Why do you think he is an alpha?” Emma said. “I thought you have to battle for the position?” Natasha said, looking confused. “This is the problem with you kids. You think everything you watch on television is what happens,” Richard said. They all spun and gazed at him, since the man said nothing until then. Willow barked, holding a plate in its mouth. They looked down, and it had those pup eyes. “Maria, you forgot to feed him,” Trevor said in a low tone as he could. “Oh, I forgot. Sorry boy, let me bring you something to eat,” she got up and went to the kitchen. They all swung back and continued eating. After a couple of minutes, she came with Willow’s food. Put it on its plate and it started enjoying itself. If dogs were to speak, it would have been pressing Maria. “Oh, no,” Sebastian said, touching his neck. “What?” Natasha asked. “The ring. Didn’t I give it to you?” He replied. “No Seb, you didn’t,” Natasha replied. He got up and started searching his pockets, but nothing. He went took the keys to Natasha’s car and went outside. The rest exchanged confused looks. Natasha got up and followed. Sebastian opened the car and entered inside. He checked from the dashboard, nothing; he opened that thing in the middle between the drives seat and the passengers still nothing. He sat down and started beating his head with his hands. Natasha reached the car, tried to open the doors, but they were locked. She knocked on the window Sebastian looked and gestures for her to leave but she didn’t. “Seb, open up!” she shouted. Lightning flashed, and after about five minutes rain started pulling down. Natasha knocked even harder on the window. Fortunately, he opened the door. “Do you want me to die?” she retorted, but he didn’t answer, “Seb I know how important that ring is to you. But locking yourself here won’t help. Let’s go we find a solution together.” “I just want to be alone. I allowed that bastard to take the ring. God knows what he is doing with it,” he said in a low tone. “I know. But when you finished bathing, didn’t you leave it in the room?” she asked. “I think so. Wait, are you saying why I think you are saying?” “Yeah, there is a possibility it might be there.” A smile stretched over his face, “then I will go right now.” He opened the door, but Natasha pulled him back inside. “Are you crazy it’s late and besides it raining,” she said, “who do you think will take care of this child if not you?” she shot him a glare. “I will never leave you, dear.” He kissed her stomach, got up, their lips met and none of them breathed for an eternal second. Sebastian’s phone ran, “damn,” he cursed. He took it from his pocket Trevor was calling. “Yes,” he answered rudely. “Where the hell are the both of you?” he asked. “We are outside. And you have such bad timing. We were bonding here asshole.” “Please, just bring your ass inside it’s raining,” Trevor chuckled. “We are in Natasha’s car but we will be there,” without waiting for a reply he hung up the phone. “What nonsense is this. The bastard hung up on me as if he was the one who called,” Trevor said, taking a sip from his cup of wine. “There, there,” Maria said, patting Trevor on the back. ********** Alinani and Mulenga reached where the ground swallowed Charles. Fortunately, Mulenga looked down and saw Charles’s shredded clothes. He picked a piece and sniffed it. “These belong to Charles,” he said. Alinani turned, “did you just call our alpha Charles?” “Yeah, that is his name, isn’t it?” “It’s, but we never address him as just Charles. You know that if he heard you, you would beg for his mercy.” “Well, he is not here. Anyway, why did he transform?” Mulenga said, shooting Alinani a questioning look. “Dunno, maybe I just wanted to run fast.” “Yeah, you are right,” he threw the cloth to the ground, and they went away. After a couple of minutes, they reached where they were staying with Siobhan and Amell, well also a couple of wizards and witches. They went straight to where Charles’s tent was. Called his name before entering just in case the man was dressing up, but they got no response. Called for the second time, still nothing. They entered the tent and found no one inside. “Where is he?” Alinani asked. “Maybe he is with Siobhan and Amell lets go, we check,” Mulenga replied and they left. They found Siobhan Amell and a few wizards sitting around the fire. The witches might have gone to sleep. Women. “Did any of you saw our alpha?” Mulenga asked. “No, aren’t you supposed to be with him?” Siobhan replied with another question. “Not really,” Alinani replied. “Maybe he is on his way,” Amell spoke. “Do you think anything might have happened to him and that’s why he transformed?” Mulenga whispered for only Alinani to hear. “Maybe or we should wait for some more minutes than go look for him, ” Alinani replied.
