CHAPTER THIRTY

1213 Words
The sun rose the next morning. Natasha wrapped up in Sebastian’s arms in the car. Sebastian accidentally touched the diving wheel, then it rumbled. They peeled opened their eyes. “What the hell,” Natasha said rubbing her eyes. “Wait, we slept here?” Sebastian asked. “No, I think we slept inside,” she replied sarcastically. “Ah, so funny, eh,” he lowered his head, “how did my prince sleep?” He kissed Natasha’s stomach. “She is fine.” “Who did we even end up sleeping in here?” Sebastian asked, stretching his hands. “The last thing I remember we were about to leave the car, but we wanted for the rain to die down. So presumably we fall asleep because of that amazing weather.” “Yeah. And I have to go and get the ring before those bastards find it.” “You have to eat and take a shower you stink,” she closed her nose. He sniffed his armpits, “yeah, I better do that.” They got out of the car and went inside, luckily they didn’t lock the door. They went inside and found Maria preparing breakfast. “Morning, Maria,” they said together. “Morning guys. Wait, you slept outside?” Maria asked. “Yeah,” Sebastian replied. “All is faulty if you are wondering,” Natasha said. “These bastards, we got married to always put us in trouble,” Maria said, more to Natasha than Sebastian. “I know right,” she replied. “You guys know I’m right here, right?” Sebastian interrupted. “Yeah, we do. We just don’t care,” Natasha replied. “I’m going to take a shower. And is Trevor up yet?” “Yes,” Maria replied. She turned and continued talking to Natasha. Sebastian went upstairs instead of going straight to his bedroom. He went to Trevor’s bedroom. He knocked this time before entering. “What do you want?” Trevor oozed. “Man, it’s me,” Sebastian answered. “Come in.” Sebastian opened the door, entered, and closed it behind him. He went and sat on the bed. “Morning man,” Sebastian said. “Morning. What time did you two enter the house I waited but got tired and went to bed?” Trevor spoke standing beside the closet. “We just entered.” “like write now, right now?” “Yeah, that’s what I said.” “Ok. Did you find the ring? You didn’t update us,” Trevor asked. “No man. Are you gonna wear something or show your skinny body?” “Ah, funny, and I was gonna get my clothes when you interrupted me. Overwhelming everyone with your cologne is not a substitute for bathing,” a smile crept on his face. “Do I stinky that much? That everyone can tell.” “Yeah, take a shower before you suffocate us,” he masked his smile by turning to the closet. “Asshole,” Sebastian said, and left, slamming the door very hard. ********** “Alinani, wake up. The sun is almost above us and you are still sleeping,” Mulenga said. “Almost not already,” he replied in a faint whisper, and wrapped a blanket over his head. “Charles is not in his tent,” Mulenga said. Alinani unwrapped himself, “what?” “yeah, and while you are busy snoring, our alpha might be in trouble.” “We should go look for him and we should start where we saw his clothes,” Alinani spoke and wore a white shirt, sleeves rolled up, and tight-fitting pair of jeans. They left the room and went into the forest. After a couple of minutes, they arrived where Charles’s shredded clothes were. Alinani took the clothing and sniffed it. He started sniffing in the air. “The scent is not exceeding this area, man,” Alinani spoke. “Wait, is this, not the place where we battled the mother frog?” Mulenga asked. They looked at each other, remembering how that night played for them. “You don’t th-“ “That is the only explanation as for now,” Mulenga interrupted. There was a pregnant pause for a few heartbeats then, “who do we go under?” Alinani asked, regretting every single word as it came out of her mouth. “I have no freaking idea, man,” Mulenga replied. They started pacing, thinking of the way to get their alpha from frog kingdom. They carried on pacing for almost thirty minutes, then Alinani stopped. “You have an idea?” Mulenga asked. “Yeah.” “Do tell.” “Why don’t we ask that wizard t-“ “Siobhan,” Mulenga interrupted. “Yeah, whatever his name his. Why don’t we ask him for help? He and Charles seemed to get along just fine, and with his demon friend. We will roast those frogs.” “That is actually a good idea. Hanging out with me seemed to rub some sense in your brain,” Mulenga spoke. “Please,” was all Alinani could say. They tapped their wolf powers and began running back to the camp. They reached the camp and transformed back. The witches gazed, eyes fixed on the men’s chiseled bodies. Alinani winked at one, and she blushed, looking away. Without hesitation, they run to Siobhan’s tent. They called out his name but got no response. They shouted for the second time, no response again. “Siobhan is not here he went for some business with Amell,” a tall wizard spoke. “Did they tell you what time they will be back?” Mulenga asked. “No,” he replied. “Alright, thanks.” They went and sat in the fireplace. Each minute that passed was like an hour to them. ********** Sebastian came downstairs, all cleaned up with a rather exuberant fragrance. He pulled a chair and sat at the dining table, where they were eating breakfast. “Morning Emma, morning uncle Richard,” he spoke, talking the only cup on the tray. “Morning,” they answered together. “Now this is my husband,” Natasha spoke and patted Sebastian on the back. “Oh, so now I’m your husband.” “Yes.” She shot him a grin. “Anyway, I’m going back to search for the ring.” “You left it in your house?” Trevor asked. “Presumably,” he replied. “I’m going with you,” Trevor spoke the last bit of his bread. “The all police force is looking for you, man.” “I know, but that ring is more important. We are going.” “Alright, then let us leave.” “Are you not gonna finish your food?” Natasha asked. “I will eat when I came back. Just prepare my favorite.” he kissed on the head and stood up. They opened the front door and left.
