CHAPTER FORTY-FOUR

“We are here,” Mutale said. “Are you sure?” Justine asked. “While the map says it’s here. And it looks tree-free,” Mutale spoke. “Then let us start the incantation,” Justine spoke. The boys dropped their bags, hold hands together, and began the incantation. ********** Amell stretched his hand. Ripped Maria’s heart out and threw it in his mouth. “Maria!” Trevor cried out. He flew and took Maria. “Wake up. Maria, wake up!” he shouted. Siobhan took advantage. He raised his wand, and the spell hit Trevor as he went sliding and hit the wall. Trevor flew up, his eyes glowing. A protective circle forming around him. Siobhan sent the spell, but it bounced back. Amell breathed out the fire, but it vanished upon impact with the circle. The circle kept on growing. Then there was a flash of green light and a rushing sound. Trevor was lying unconscious in a rather strange place. Sebastian and Natasha close to each other, both unconscious. The humans also unconscious but one had hit the wall so hard his head cracked. Siobhan lay on a broken table, bruised up his hand out of its joint. Amell lay close to Siobhan, but his head was rolling to Maria and it stopped upon impact. ********** The portal opened, and then the boys opened their eyes, smirking excitedly. “Let us do this s**t. We have an hour before school starts,” Justine said. “We jump on three. One, two, three!” Mutale shouted and they jumped into the portal. Instead of landing on frogsta land, they landed on a rather village-looking place. But they perfectly built the houses with wood, of course. They turned to go back to the portal, but it vanished. “I asked you if we were in the right place. Where the hell are we now?” Justine shouted. “We were. I just don’t know how this happened, man. Come on, let us repeat the incantation,” Mutale said. They said the incantation to the end, but no portal appeared. They repeated it several times, still no portal. “Oh, God how are we going home now?” Justine said voice cracked. Mutale sat on the stone, then saw a man coming in their direction. He got up and ran to the man. “Morning sir,” he said. “Morning? Are you ok, my boy?” The man asked. “Yes, sir, I’m fine. What is the name of this place?” He asked. “Are you new to this place?” “Kind of.” The man looked at Mutale, “where are you coming from then?” “Lusaka,” he said. “What is that?” The man asked. Justine got up and followed Mutale. “The capital city of Zambia. On planet earth.” “They sent you to spy on us, you little rascals,” the man grabbed both Mutale and Justine. “What no sir!” Justine shouted. “Please, sir, you have to believe us,” Mutale cried out. “The king will deal with you,” he squeezed them harder. Both of them began breathing harder, their expressions changing from innocent to malicious. They closed their eyes and opened them again, there were glowing, but the man was too busy to notice. They moved out from the man’s grip, then held up their hand and raised the man in the air. Justine raised his other hand and blocked the man’s voice pipe as if he knew the man was gonna scream. Mutale moved closer to the man, then breathed out the fire. The man burned to ashes. And the boys fell unconscious. It was now darker apparently when it’s morning on earth, that place it is night. A young lady who looked like she was twenty-four or twenty-five was coming in the boy’s direction. She wore blue jeans and a black shirt with leather sandals. She sported the boys and ran to them. She checked their pause and sighed in relief. She called for help and two men came to her aid. “Please help me take them to my place,” she said voice cracked. “Of course, my queen,” a muscular man spoke. And who could refuse such a beautiful lady? Halfway to her house, she bumped into Trevor’s shoes. She kneed and took the shoe, looked around, and spotted the man laying on the ground lifeless and necked. “James, go and check if he is alive I presume he must be the father or related to them in one way,” she said to the muscular guy. The man gave Justine to his friend and ran to Trevor. He kneeled, checked Trevor’s pause, and shouted. “He is alive. But if we don’t hurry, he might die.” She threw her coat, “cover him with that and let us hurry them to my house,” she said. He covered Trevor and threw him on his shoulder. After a few minutes, they arrived at the lady’s house. She opened the door, and they entered. “Put them there,” she said, pointing at the bed. She went to the other room and after a few minutes came with a medical kit. She sat the kit on the table and began missing ingredients of some kind. The two men were just watching. She handed two cups contain thick green stuff to the men and took one as well. “You have to make sure they drink, ok?” They nodded and went to them. The three drank the concoction with no difficulty. “You can leave I will take it from here,” she said. “Alright my lady,” they replied at the same time and left the house. She took two pieces of clothing and dipped them in water mixed with some sort of antidote and she put the clothing on Mutale and Justine’s forehead. She took another piece of clothing and began cleaning Trevor’s wounds. Then she noticed a birthmark on his right hand. But that was unimportant at the moment. She removed the boy’s shirts as it was hot, and they were burning up. She mixed some powder stuff and spread it on the boy’s body. As she was doing that, she noticed they also had the same birthmark as Trevor and on the same spot. “He is definitely their father,” she said. After seeing that they were all stable, she took a bottle of wine and began drinking it. Before she knew it, she was fast asleep. The next morning Justine wake up. He looked around and saw the woman sleeping in the chair. He wakes up Mutale. “Where are we?” Justine asked, whispery. “I can I know I just wake up,” Mutale spoke. “And him? And where are our shirts?” Justine asked. “Again I just wake up. And the last thing I remember was that a man wanted to take us to the king. He thought we a spy’s.” The woman peeled open her eyes and saw the boys sitting on the bed, arguing. “Boys, you are awake? How are you feeling?” She got up. “We are fine thanks.” They started heading to the door. “Don’t worry, I’m not gonna bite you. And you can go home after you feel better. And your father is still unconscious,” she went. Took their hands and sat them on the bed. “Father?” They looked at Trevor. “He is not our dad,” they said together. “What are you saying, boys?” She smiled, kneeling before them. “We are saying he is not our father!” Justine shouted. Just in case she had hearing problem. “I can hear correctly. Anyway, I have never seen you two in this city before.” “That is because we are not from this place,” Mutale said. “Oh, really?” “Yeah,” Mutale replied. “Then where are you from?” She asked. “Lusaka,” Justine spoke. “Lu...what?” “Oh, God. Planet earth. Who are you, people? And what the hell is this place?” Justine asked. “We call this planet Anamaj. And never mention you are from earth around anyone ever. Do I make myself clear?” She asked. “Yes ma,” they responded. “Alright now go and shower, then you can tell me about your trip to our planet over breakfast.” “I’m not bathing with him. He is just too young to bath with,” Justine said. “You are younger than me,” Mutale argued. “Twins,” she laughed, and went to the kitchen. “Twins,” the boys repeated. They looked at each other, then stepped from each other. After a few minutes, they went to the bathroom. The woman went to check Trevor up. She removed the clothing on his forehead, and as she was going to the kitchen, Trevor shouted. “Maria!” He got up, eyes still glowing. She turned, but Trevor’s eyes already turned to their normal form. “Sir, you are awake,” she went back, smiling. “Where is Maria?” he asked, face serious. “Maria? Sir, I don’t know what you are talking about,” she looked at him, eyes dancing with confusion. “Maria my wife,” he got up then realized he was necked and wrapped the covers on himself. “What did you do to me? And where I’m I?” “Sir, I did nothing to you. In fact, I rescued you and your sons,” she spoke. “Sons? I don’t have a son,” then it all came back. The party, Siobhan, how Amell ripped Maria’s heart out and ate it. He looked down, wheezing. “Sir, are you ok?” she asked. “Yes, I’m fine. You said you found me where?” He looked at her. “You were lying unconscious a few miles from your boys.” “Woman, I said I don’t have any son, ok,” he scolded. “I think you lost your memories. I will make you something that will make you remember.” “Whatever. And what is this place?” He asked. “Planet Anamaj.” “Planet what?” “Anamaj. Let me guess, you are from earth as well.” She got up and began setting the table. “So I’m on a different planet?” He asked. He tried to get up and follow her, but again realized he was necked. “Where are my clothes?” “You had no clothes on when we found you,” she said, bringing plates to the table. “We? Your husband?” “Oh, no oh, no no. Just a couple of guys who were helping me carry you and your sons.” “I’m tired of telling you. You don’t happen to have male clothes, do you?” “I have trousers and you can wear one of my man shirts,” she shot him a grin. He remembered when he wore Maria’s clothes, when they went to Maria’s parent’s birch house and his only clothes got stolen. A teardrop came out of his eye. “Sir, are you ok?” she asked. “I’m ok. And what is your name?” He asked, blushing the tear-off. “My name is Angel.” “Angel pleasant name.” “Thanks,” she finished preparing breakfast. She went to her bedroom and brought trousers and a gray shirt. “Here,” she tossed them at Trevor. “Thanks. Can you look away please,” she turned around, “and where are these so-called sons of mine?” He asked. “They went to the shower but they are taking too long can you go and check them please.” Trevor finished dressing up and went to the bathroom. He opened the bathroom door without knocking. “Dude!” the boys screamed. “It’s just me,” Trevor said and entered the bathroom. They covered their snakes. “What do you want? And didn’t your parents teach you how to knock?” Justine asked. “While that’s rude. And I jus....” He noticed the birthmarks on the boys. He moved closer. “What are you doing?” Mutale asked. But Trevor was just concerned about the birthmarks. He rolled his shirt and showed the boys his birthmark. “No wonder the lady keeps on saying you are our dad,” Mutale said. Trevor again rolled his trouser and showed the boys his other birthmark. “How is this possible?” Justine asked. The boys didn’t even realize their hands were no longer on their little snakes. Trevor just kept on staring at them, dumbstruck. “What is taking you guys so long in there?” Angel shouted, shaping Trevor out of his thoughts. “Sir, can you please excuse us we dress up?” Mutale said politely. “Yeah, sure,” Trevor said in a low tone. His mind filled with questions. The boys looked just the way he looked when he was there age. “Are they really my kids?” He whispered for only him to hear.
