The Collision!

Gwen was letting the water out of the tub. So, when Evan returned to the room she didn’t respond because the sound of the draining water was all she heard. The silence made him concerned, wondering if she had left the room. He knew he didn't see her in the lobby, so before going out into the hallway to search for the young lady. He searched the room. "Gwen! Are you here?" The only place to look was the bathroom in such small quarters. When he approached the door, Evan's timing couldn't have been more perfectly accidental. With only the light shining from her phone. The bathroom door swung open, and a glaring light shone in his eyes, but what he saw as the light moved around made his eyes bulge! It was the nude and beautiful anatomy of the young lady! Evan stood there in shock, swallowing deeply! Then, they both stared at one another in disbelief! Gwen emerged from the bathtub to get her night clothes off the bed, thinking she would be alone. Evan's eyes expanded as his heart pounded against his ribcage, paralyzing him in a shocking state. The only bodily function he had for a few seconds was his eyes, as they followed her beautiful nude form. Evan stood there watching her, trying to cover a set of beautiful full breasts and her other pretty little private area. His eyes were glued on her wet, shapely body. Evan didn't expect to see all of this, but he couldn't help but stare until Gwen screamed! The piercing sound that escaped her lips almost busted his eardrums! Evan was startled, stumbling backward, but he couldn't take his eyes off her beautiful form standing in the nude! She quickly turns as he watches her plump derriere run back into the bathroom. "Wow! Has it been that long since he's seen a female's body naked? He stood there feeling like that teenage boy back in school who was weak in the knees. Gwen had been careful, knowing she was sharing a room with a stranger. How could she forget to get her night clothes off the bed? But she had no idea he would return to the room so soon. "Oh my God, he has seen me naked!" Then Evan heard her shout from behind the closed bathroom door. "What are you doing here? You weren't supposed to be here!" "I'm sorry," Evan said, perplexed, breathing hard and heavily as he stood there trying to figure it out. He briskly walked away from the bathroom door. He was pacing back and forth, trying to breathe, mumbling. "Why would she come out of the bathroom undressed? She had to know I would be coming back. What should I do? Should I face her again, avoid her, or sleep in a chair in the lobby? No, no, don't! I paid for this room. We are two mature adults. Once I reassured her, I barely saw anything, we should be alright. So just stay put.' But it was strange even for Evan. Now he feels like he's back to square one. "Have you left the room yet?" She shouts from behind the door. "I'll go out in the hallway while you put on your clothes. So, we won't have any more surprises." "Good!" she replies frustratedly. When she emerged from the bathroom, the temperature had dropped even inside the room. Gwen hurried, trembling, and shaking. "I forgot there's no heat in this place! I must put on my clothes quickly, or I will freeze to death!" She let out a deep breath, wrapping a towel around her, leaning her hands on the countertop, trying to catch her breath and bring her body temperature back to average. She dried off her body. She then sprayed on her strawberry love and cream body spray. She grabbed her nightshirt that hit her just above the knees. She slid that over her head then Gwen wrapped her robe around her body and tied it tight. "I ought to let him sleep out in that hallway for pulling that stunt!" She shook her head. "That wouldn't be right; I'm sure he didn't do that intentionally. He had no way of knowing. So, she tries to wipe away the embarrassment and opens the door. "You can come back into the room." A wonderful aroma emerged from behind the door, closely followed by her lovely presence. The delightful scent of strawberries and flowers filled the room, bringing him back somewhat to his senses. He looks up and sees her standing there in her robe with her hair pulled back in a bun, and without a drop of makeup on, she is naturally pretty. He shifts his eyes away from hers, trying to allow himself to quell the silent storm raging throughout his body. He stared numbly, watching as she made her way around the carpeted floor. His gaze fixed on her feet and traveled slowly upward. "What do you have there?" She spoke. "It smells divine." Evan looks down at the proud achievement he holds onto in his hand. He acquired the free pizza in the lobby. Gwen noticed he didn't answer as he stared at her before quickly looking away. "What is it? Is something on my face?" She asked, wiping her face with her hand. “Uh...no.” He said, somewhat bashfully, as he kept his eyes down, walking toward the small table. "I hope you're hungry. I have a pizza if you want some and a thermal of hot coffee they gave me downstairs in the lobby. I can pour you a cup if you like?" He asked somewhat nervously, opening up the thermal container. "Sure, that would be nice. I can use some hot coffee after taking what turned out to be a cold bath." "Cold bath? Why did you need to take a cold bath?" he asked, looking at her curiously. "Oh, not that kind of cold bath" Gwen almost snickered. "You're not going to believe this. Not only do we not have electricity. There's not a drop of hot water. I found that out the hard way," Gwen sarcastically chuckled, saying, "Can you believe we paid $425.00 for a room with only cold water?" "Oh........now I understand." he said, smiling. Evan poured a cup of coffee, took a napkin, picked up a slice of pizza, and put it on her plate. He took everything he prepared for her over to the desk. Gwen came and sat down at the desk. The only light they had was from their two cell phones. "Thank you so much for the food and coffee. I can use this right now." Evan came back over to the table. He poured himself a cup of coffee and then placed a slice of pizza on his plate. He stood there by the small table area. Evan looked at the lady as she lightly blew on her cup of coffee, getting it to the right temperature to drink. "Do you mind if I sit over here?" he said as he walked up to the other chair. "Uhm...I guess that would be okay." Evan quickly sat down before she changed her mind. "Thank you for letting me sit here with you." "You're welcome. You do know this is partially your room? And I promise I will pay you back when the bank opens." "I know you will. You don't look like the type to run off without paying." She smiled. He was awe-struck by that smile of hers. He wished she would stop smiling. It made it extremely hard for him to view her as his neighbor like he had considered this young lady for years. Gwen doesn't have a clue this man is her neighbor. Evan assumed it was because they were here in the dimly lit room. "I'm not that type of person, but people can be something these days; people are nothing nice; most are con artists." "I know what you mean. But you look trustworthy." "Well, thank you. So, what brings you to New York? Are you from here?" "I was born in Italy, but my father’s family are Korean, and they live here in New York." "So, you are visiting family here in New York.” “Yes, and to answer your question, what brings me here? I also got hired at a job here in New York." "Congratulations!" "Thank you. Are you from New York?" "No, not with this accent," she snickered, saying. "I'm from Georgia, born and raised. But I’m here on business." "We both look like we picked a great time to come to New York," Evan said, chuckling. "Perfect timing! This isn't a great time at all." She said, laughing too. "This has been horrible." "You're right. I'm freezing." he said softly, smiling with his eyes on her. Evan was utterly captivated by her laughter and mellow voice. "Do." "Do..." They both said simultaneously. Evan says, "Please, you speak first." "I was just going to ask if everything works out with the new job. Will New York become home for you?" He laughed. "That was the same question I was about to ask you." "No…really?" Gwen replied smiling.
