New Life New Mate

Chapter Twelve

I wake up still in my wolf form Ty/Luke are snuggled up to us on the edge of the forest next to the water. I wish we could stay like this forever. I watch them sleeping so peacefully, oh my goodness have you ever seen or heard a wolf snore, I just did. It is so cute, I could just die.  It is light out the sun is high in the sky it is at least noon. I nuzzle them trying to wake them up. They only nuzzle us back, too cute but we need to get going back before they send a search party. I lick his face. 'mmm let me sleep' Luke says through the link.

'it is noon we should be going back'

'mmmm' is the only response. Alright he leaves me no choice, I bite his ear causing him to yelp and jump up looking around.

'good you're up now let's go before a search party gathers.' they shake their head and lead the way home. We both shift back to our human form and find our clothes getting dressed. 

" We need to go see my mother. It's time you take over as the true Luna. I was thinking the ceremony could be tomorrow night." Oh god am I ready for this, so soon. I stop walking, finding it hard to breathe all of a sudden. " Beautiful it's alright, you have already been Luna to the pack now we just make it official. You and mom will plan the ceremony." 

I take a deep breath and nod my head and we start walking to Jaymin's cottage. Luke knocks on the door then opens it before there is an answer. I can hear something crash in the back bedroom, some rustling around. Jaymin rushes out of the room her hair is a mess and she smells of s*x. Oh god my senses are so much stronger now. 'she has another wolf back there, Luke doesn't know she is dating again' Rose tells me. 'I hope he takes it well, his father has been gone three years now, so I mean she can get it on with someone else but will he see it that way.' I say back.

"Mom? What is going on?" Oh god this is going to be bad.

"Luke, son.. um.. well you see. Your father has been gone for some time now. I have been.. well." She is stuttering and can't seem to bring herself to say it. Luke runs past her and busts the door open. Jaymin and I follow. I look in the room to see Mason, the youth trainer. Oh s**t he is 26 years old about 20 years younger than Jaymin.

"Jaymin," I say shocked. "You go girl," I laugh trying to lighten the mood. If this was a cartoon smoke would be coming out of Luke's ears, I walk up to him I'm placed my hand on his shoulder. "Luke, breath. They are both adults." 

Luke takes a deep breath, "I knew someday my mom would date but I never thought the guy would be younger than me. Mason what about your mate, she will be upset to find out you didn't wait for her. As her son I am weirded out, as your Alpha I am disappointed in your actions against your mate." 

Mason looks scared, he is so tough with us during training but now he looks just like kids getting caught with his hand in the cookie jar. "Alpha, I have already met my mate. Remember the rogue attack when I was 19?" Luke nods, "I froze when I saw her, but she then tried to kill me. You stepped in and killed her first. I do not blame you and I even thank you. I would not have been able to do it myself and would have let her kill me. I never told anyone but your mother and father. Luna Jaymin was there to comfort me like any great Luna would. Then when rouge's killed Alpha Gerald I was there to return the favor and comforted Jaymin. Around six months ago our relationship changed. I wanted to tell you, ask your permission. But.."

"But I told him not to. I wanted you to find your mate and for me to step down as Luna before our relationship was public." Luke looks between the two. 

"Well, now I know. But Mason if you expect me to call you dad, or if you break my mother's heart, I will kill you." We all laugh.

"Luke let's wait in the living room while these two get cleaned up. Jaymin we need to plan my Luna ceremony. I have no idea what to expect or what to do." Luke is already out of the room before I finished speaking. I follow after him and sit on his lap, he leans his head on my shoulders inhaling deep.

"My mother is dating someone younger than me," he shakes his head laughing. "I thought she had started dating again. She seemed happier. I was happy for her even if she hadn't confirmed it, but I was not expecting that." 

"Luke, age is but a number, they both lost their mates and found comfort with each other. Just be happy Mason is a good man."

"I am. Still a little shocking though. I think about how if I died and you started dating someone they would only be a pup right now. Hell I think my mom changed his diapers. We grew up together." 

The love birds come join us. Mason sits down on the couch and Jaymin sits right on his lap. "I am so glad we don't have to hide our relationship anymore from you son," Mason says laughing. 

"Don't, just don't. I may accept the fact my mother chose you but you are not and never will be my dad nor I your son. And if you ever make that joke in front of the pack I will remind you who your alpha is." 

"Oh Alpha you're so tough and good at showing me who Alpha is," I say winking. Luke's manhood twitches while Jaymin and Mason laugh at Luke's red cheeks. 

"Well we came here for a reason, mother how soon do you think you and Ana could plan the Luna ceremony. Drake is still out there and we know the hunters want us dead. I would like to have Ana as the official Luna before war breaks out." 

"I already have everything ready son. I have had the elders on call since you brought her home. We only need one day to set it up. Tomorrow is a full moon so I think it will be perfect timing. Then as the new Luna Ana you can host the mating ball and I can finally relax."

"Mating Ball?" I ask.

"Ohh right, it's a gathering of young unmated wolves, who hope to find their mates. Basically a big party of several packs from around the country. A different pack hosts each year and this year the honor is ours. I already have everything planned, you just need to be the hostess. The Luna always leads this event." 

"Wow, you really are a great Luna. I just hope I can be half as good as you are at being prepared for everything. When is the big day?" 

"Next month on the full moon."  Jaymin is so happy. "Alright now darling tell me about your change and first shift."

"Well after the bite I fell asleep, that's where Savannah, the Moon Goddess, met me. She told me I am special and blessed. Not that I know what that means."

"Beautiful you are very blessed you are a white wolf. Most wolves are black, brown, gray but a white wolf they are very rare. Born to be stronger, smarter, wiser than any other." Luke says beaming with pride.

"You are special indeed. I have never seen anyone fight like you, besides Darlien, you defeated an Alpha before even having a wolf. The Goddess blessed you with a calm demeanor allowing you to analyze your opponent mid battle." Mason tells me.

Jaymin looks shocked, "You're a white wolf?" I nod my head confused. "You all were born after the prophets stopped but the last prophecy states,

'Born to be a white wolf, 

But without a wolf,

Changed she shall become,

Luna to guide,

Luna to protect,

She shall deliver peace

But only after war' 

No one really understands it. A white wolf with no wolf. Many believed the prophets to be crazy after that one, even myself. There has never been a changed wolf that was also a white wolf. Ana you said the Goddess came to you during a dream?" I can't speak, I only nod. "That does not happen, or at least never has. Only the prophets spoke to the Goddess. And no one ever called her by name, only Moon Goddess or Luna to all. You are beyond blessed not like any before." Everyone is quiet not knowing what to say next.

'She is right you know,' Rose tells me. 'we are unique. The Goddess will use us to follow out her plans. But do not be afraid I am here to guide you. My spirit was with the Goddess as she planned it. I do not know the details, only that I will know what to do when the time comes.'

"Well f**k, things keep getting more and more complicated. Not even a full month since my divorce and now I find out my life is a prophecy." Everyone laughs, but not a full laugh, more like a nervous laugh. "Well I guess we'll deal with prophecy when it comes for now can someone just tell me what I'm going to be doing at this Luna ceremony."

Jaymin speaks up, "Well it is simple really. The pack will gather, and you will take a bows to lead and care for the pack like they are your children. Then vow to honor your Alpha. Then I will pass my title and power to you by a simple exchange of blood. Then Luke as alpha will exchange blood with you to accept you as his Luna. The pack will then pledge their allegiance to you as their Luna. We will all shift and go for a run under the moon in order to bond as a pack. Afterwards you will be considered one of us and able to mindlink with any pack member. You will also feel their pain, but also their joy." I nod my head trying to absorb everything. This is a big life change. I think of my parents and wonder what they are up to. I haven't spoken to them since I finalized my divorce. s**t they don't even know that I am dating anyone let alone all this s**t.

"I need to call my parents," Luke looks at me confused. "Sorry I know it's random. But I was just thinking about everything and realized they don't even know I started dating. They had planned a 2 month vacation in Europe before my divorce. I told them to go anyway it was already planned. They have been gone for a month. I don't think I won't tell them everything but at least want to tell them I am seeing someone new," Jaymin nods in understanding. I check the time and it is already 2 pm our time. If I remember right they should be in London by now about 10 pm they might be up still. I go outside and sit down in Jaymin's garden on a bench.

I dial up my mom's cell phone. "Baby girl? Everything okay?" My mom sounds worried.

"I am fine mom, just missed you guys hope it's not too late."

"Oh no sweetheart never. We miss you too." My dad says I must be on speaker. "How is single life treating you?"

"Well life is pretty good. But um, not quite single any more," both my parents gasp. "I meet a guy named Luke. He is amazing, I already feel in love. I think you guys will love him too. I was just at his mom's place and realized that I never told you. He is such a gentleman."

"Baby girl, you haven't even been divorced a full month. How can you already be in love?"

"You and dad were dating three months before you got married. So I think it is possible. He is 28, never married, or really dated at all. He has saved himself for the one even. He tells me I am his soulmate. I realize we haven't been together very long but I think he may be right."

"A 28 year old virgin, really? Sweetheart I am not sure if I believe it." My dad said skeptically.

"Well I do. Any man who was not would have tried to pressure me because I am not a virgin. He never has. He has a large extended family and they have all accepted me, unlike with Drake. His family never really welcomed me in, I was an outsider. With his family and friends it is like I have always been a part of it. When you get home I want you to meet him because I plan on staying with him."

There is a long pause before my mom talks, " Well baby girl I am glad he makes you happy. You deserve to be. Send me a photo of the man that stole your heart ok." 

"I will. I love you both so much."

"Love you too" they both say before I hang up.

I go back in and sit down on Luke's lap, "smile," I hold my phone up and take a photo of us together and text it to my mom.

"What was that?" Luke asks.

"Mom wants a photo. I think she is going to play detective. They are worried about us moving too quick. Now I didn't tell her we live together, that I am basically vowing my life to you and your family tomorrow just that I love you."

Ding, 'he is handsome baby girl. But where did he get the scare from?'

'oh some fight a while ago. Someone tried to hurt his family and he defended them but they got him pretty good.'

'hmm ok baby girl. You be careful you have only known him less than a month. Make sure he ain't no hitman or something'

'ok mother. Now go enjoy your vacation. We will have dinner when you get back.'

Luke is reading over my shoulder as we text. "Hitman? Really? If only she knew the whole truth. She might die." Everyone laughs and I give Luke a small kiss on the cheek.

"So what do I need to do to get ready for the ceremony tomorrow?" I ask Jaymin.

"Just pick out a nice dress that can easily be removed when it's time to shift. Everything else is taken care of. I called the elders and they will be here tomorrow to perform the ceremony and omega s are ready to set up everything." I take a deep breath trying to prepare myself for tomorrow. I am scared but excited.
