PAST SELENE’S POV: I was half asleep and had almost—almost—forgotten about my horrendous lab partner as Mr Wilde shepherded us to the state of the art chemistry lab. And then reality sunk in hard and fast. I straightened up immediately, eyes scanning the crowd of students. The dark brown of Grayson's head was nowhere to be seen and I didn’t know whether that should’ve been relaxing or all the more off-putting. Even the smell of chemicals and that tear inducing stench of ethanol brought me no comfort on this particular occasion and I found myself cursing the existence of Grayson Vexley all the more.
