She was so still in my arms.
The ritual was over, but the pain hadn’t left her body. I could smell it still. It was acidic, scorched and it was clinging to her skin like smoke. Salt said the bond was broken, that Raven had been cut free from her father’s power.
Raven also confirmed it and after she was sure that she was okay and that the bond was broken, she just passed out. Salt assured me that she was just exhausted and I smiled knowing that she had nothing to do with Midnight Pack anymore and I thus would not feel guilty when I started destroying them.
No one touched what was mine and lived to talk about it.
