After hearing Emily say Nolan was the better brother, I swear my brain went blank for a second.
I stared at her, blinking like I didn’t just hear the very same girl who used to sing Killian’s praises tell me Nolan is now the safer option. Something was off. That switch? Too sudden. But knowing Emily… she isn’t the type to open up easily when something’s eating at her. I didn’t want to push her, not now.
