Chapter 103

1643 Words

Lilith’s Pov The second Nolan dropped the call, my heart dropped too. His voice was so weak, it sounded nothing like the man I knew. It sounded like he was in pain, like something was really wrong. My instincts kicked in immediately. I called back. Once. Twice. Three times. No answer. “Nolan, pick up,” I muttered, pacing across my room, the phone pressed hard to my ear. “Come on, pick up.” Still nothing. My fingers trembled as I dialed again. No answer. I was already pulling a hoodie over my head, rushing to the mirror to throw my hair into a bun. Something was very wrong. I didn’t care how late it was, I had to go to his house. But before I left, I thought of Killian. Maybe he knew something. Maybe he was with Nolan? I tapped on Killian’s contact and called him too. No answer.
