Chapter 4Dimitri showed a sad-looking, middle-aged man to Irina’s office, only to have him come back to the front desk twenty minutes later. The appointments most often ran for an hour. “Hi.” Dimitri nodded and plastered on his fake smile. “Hi.” “I need another appointment.” “Of course.” Normally, Irina booked the follow-ups herself. They had computers in their offices and the booking system ran on all of them. “With Irina?” “No. With someone else.” Dimitri kept his face blank. It had happened before, that someone switched agent, but it wasn’t common. “Okay.” “I want someone who can do their job.” Oh-oh. Dimitri looked into the man’s eyes. “And Irina can’t?” The man’s face grew redder and redder with each second that passed. “She’s set me up on three dates, all of them disasters.”
