Octavia's Point of View I pace along the stone path just outside the training center, my steps uneven, my chest still heaving with rage. My nails bite half moons into my palms, and I cannot stop replaying it in my mind, the way Rafael looked at me, the way he refused. Refused to let me go. It is like fire under my skin, too much, too sharp. “Octavia?” Kai’s voice cuts through my storm, and I spin towards him. He is standing a few feet away, brows drawn tight with concern, his tall frame tense but careful, like he is afraid I will shatter if he gets too close.
