Having settled down in Vinewood four years after a mass relocation from the neighboring city due to the unexpected appearance of horrific beings, two brothers and their friends resumed college to complete their education but only to find out that what they went through in the previous city was only just the beginning of yet another dark hidden mystery seeking to ruin their lives and those close to them

PROLOGUE: IDLE TALK 1
In my earlier book titled "THE LAKE HOUSE" much of what was left behind by those that left the city was the complete desolation of Summerville from whence the surviving refugees departed from against their own demand to travel to other suitable places to find refuge other than the densely populated city of Vinewood where they inevitably had to start life afresh which was quite tedious for many who initially lacked sufficient finance to cater for themselves and their families elsewhere in their temporal place of refuge though some were able to thrive with the help of their financial resources already stacked up in their swift bank accounts that gave them sufficient capability to cope with the new environment they found themselves in despite the fact that the dense population of the masses dwelling in the urban city were somewhat larger than their former city which almost compelled the estate agents securing apartments for those looking for houses to purchase at an affordable cost, to reject many refugees seeking shelter since the many neighborhoods were already preoccupied by the the indigenous residents in the suburban areas of the city and could not accommodate more families especially individuals known so far to be amongst the expatriates from the city that was undergoing technical repairs for many buildings and skyscrapers had collapsed tantamount to further damage of the public apartments including other smaller houses found in different neighborhoods of Summerville to the as a result of the nuclear bomb blast that wiped out the horrible monsters from plundering and pillaging the city, leaving most of the city's prolific structures in total ruins and rubbles lying below the building on every scattered streets slums and alleys left to be excavated and removed from the city by a well team of engineers and architects equipped with sufficient manpower to restore the city back to its former state using mechanized sophisticated machinery to mend the damages that remain after the exploded bomb had receded completely thanks to the successful negotiations of the mayor and the congressmen overseeing the affairs of the confederation who provided and support them with more than enough funds to purchase the needed durable materials to be used to patch many of the collapsed buildings missing vital parts to keep their surfaces intact, with the existing ones made of tough concrete and steel bars that didn't get blown off along with the rest of the pieces that were left lying in hefty piles below the tall buildings from whence they had fallen off during the explosion which created a tremendous tremor effect to destroy much of the entire city, as well as a well trained squad of patrolling soldiers armed with enough firearms and battle armored tanks to safeguard the professional architects from any harm caused by any kind of threat left off to constitute menacing havoc that may endanger their lives and those they were assigned to protect in spite of being ordered to perform a clean sweep of the surroundings to check out for the corroded carcasses of the monsters much of which must have been left behind in the deserted city to rot after the bomb blast took place but all of these took them few years to organize and weren't able to begin the work faster than expected in time for the refugees to return back for the city's restoration project was giving the those shouldered with the responsibility to clear out the mess still remaining piled up in the entire cityscape, a major challenge to deal with according to the manpower and available resources they have to complete the job which added to more years to those that had to find a way to survive in a different city including the lucky ones that were able to find a good neighborhood to dwell in except for those unwilling to spend most of their lives trapped in a city where they were treated with inferiority and had to leave for other places on their own accord, to the places where they had earlier planned to start a new life afresh which they believe would turn out well for them to reside in without having to deal with the problems of what they had to face the moment it was reported in the news that they were refugees that survived the incredible horrific incident of monsters running on a wild rampage, seeking to devour anyone vulnerable they come across while some of the expatriates decided to go against the odds of living a comfortable life in Vinewood and had their burden of not being completely welcomed by the original inhabitants of the city when the mayor pulled some strings by having a private meeting with the administrative head handling the political affairs of the city in relation with the congressional government of the confederation to allocate residential estates with special privileges for the lucky people that were brought to the city as for they maybe free to return back to their former home in Summerville especially a good number of young teenagers still yet to finish their studies back in the same college that had most of its educational facilities lying in ruins at the southward end of Clymon Valley situated a mile away from the desolate city. Thanks to a joint collaboration with the Mayor and the administrative head of Vinewood city, the lucky teenagers who stayed behind with the decision to accept the opportunity to further their studies were admitted as freshmen into the existing college of USALS located at Richman Street, at the northwest region of Vinewood County within the surrounding borders of California and they were allowed to participate in many activities of the school alongside old students dwelling in the dormitories of the campus since they were given equal rights, and benefits with the other students originally residing the vicinity of campus before they came, to undergo tutorials in the lecture halls without their wards being obligated to pay for their tuition fees much of which the Mayor was rumored to have paid off in line with an accord he made with the school authorities including the principal and the administrative head of the City for the privileged teenagers willing to have a fresh start in another institution to finish up their education and find a means to depart from the city to further their career elsewhere but majority did not pay heed to the tantalizing offer to stay behind and refused to spend the semester with other old students like originally dwelling in the dormitories at different sections of the campus vicinity regardless of the benefits they would be privileged to enjoy if they took the opportunity to continue their studies and left the city with their parents to whom much of their displeasure as well as discouragement about the Mayor's plans for them highly came from since they were fully responsible for persuading them to school elsewhere instead of the city. The parents of those that took the chances given to them were thrilled to find out that they were not to be charged with the tuition fee soon after the teenagers were officially admitted to stay in the campus although some decided to reside close by and their kids allowed by the tutors to be involved in every school activities and minor clubs programs that fostered interactive coexisting relationships between the students apart from the lectures rendered to them by the staff teachers of the campus. Amongst the beneficiaries of the Mayor's agreement with the school authorities that were taken into the university a year after the city of Summerville most parts of which now lay in ruins, got flooded with ferocious monsters, apart from the people that the soldiers took to the refugees camp under the instruction of the Mayor himself before they were transported to Vinewood, were those of whom were the last to depart from the city after barely surviving the attack of the creatures and were conveyed to a rendezvous point where they met the first batch of refugees already awaiting the unexpected arrival of the chopper at a private airfield located within the border areas of Vinewood in spite of not being aware of the strange passengers that alighted the helicopter immediately the chopper landed and left the area in haste along with an unconscious bald headed man though a few of them were left behind as soon as their feet touched the ground few hours after they were still hovering in the air, surfing towards one of the safe zones designated by the Mayor as one of the safest locations whereby some of the masses would be transported to in order not to disrupt the massive relocation. That was two years ago and the few passengers that were left behind had no other choice than to forge ahead forgetting most of the terrible incidents and deaths that followed and were recorded soon after they were rescued from the beach during the holidays, where they too had their own fair share of the bitter sweet encounter with whom was actually responsible for the fall of the city which would being much worse for the innocent lives living in the city and other towns as well if the demonic occultist had succeeded in his goal thanks to the effort they made to prevent him from carrying out a vicious plan to plunge the realm into a land of chaos flooding with monsters from the pit of hades that would be under his control but majority of what they did to stop him with the help of the guardians were forgotten, leaving only few memories of the occurrences embedded in the heads of those who survived the hunts of the Gloim as time rolled by until two years later where things started turning out differently than what most of them hoped for, that is, a better future with realistic dreams where they have to live as normal young adults do without having to see horrific dead beings having demonic souls trying to devour someone innocent who got nothing to do with how they escape from the depths of the underworld to plague and torment those in the land of the living. As for the six guardians, they were never heard of again ever since they abandoned the bloodringers two years ago despite knowing the fact that a far more worsen situation would inevitably cause a lot of more deeper turbulence in the nearest future if they fail to tackle it in time to save the realm from another threat and to secure a normal life for themselves as well as the kids to whom they were obliged to protect from falling into the hands of those who seek to obtain their supernatural powers which they themselves aren't aware of it especially the bloodringers who were amongst the teenage refugees who were enlisted into the campus the following year after the guardians left them to face a worsen scenarios threatening their own domains without endangering and involving the likes of Jake and Kevin as well as their friends in a deadly fight that would perilously place them in danger if they were to have followed the guardians when they had left the rendezvous point to a distant land away from the regional areas to their domain. Lucky for the two brothers, their Uncle Jack resides in the city and they including their mum weren't overburdened with the tedious work of searching for a place to rest their bodies since they fortunately found shelter in their Uncle's fancy mansion located within the central city of Vinewood unlike most refugees who were left stranded with no hope and no one trustworthy enough to ask for help even though the Mayor of Summervile had come to their aid by having a political negotiation with the administrative head of Vinewood in terms of providing majority of his homeless citizens a comfortable but temporary place to live in apartments within divisional districts of the city alongside the original inhabitants already dwelling in the city over a good number of years before the unexpected arrival of the refugees from their neighboring town except for Stacy and Rose who had no choice but to stay with the two brothers soon after they were left with nowhere to find a befitting and comfortable shelter in the concrete jungle of Vinewood where they were lucky enough to find one thanks to the persuasive efforts of their two schoolmates and the tantalizing permission to be accommodated alongside the two lads which was granted to them by the boy's mom as well as that of their uncle even though their stay was brief as a result of the untimely arrival of Stacy's mother from the states, few months after they were brought to the city. The unexpected arrival of Stacy's mom was a painful reminder of how her father accidentally departed early to the afterlife in the hands of the demonic monstrous creature who was partially responsible for wrecking havoc in Summervile before the survivors fled to safety and what followed two days after she arrived to pick her daughter from the Uncle Jack's household including her friend who sadly lost her only aunt to flames that got major parts of Summerville burnt to ashes, was the sorrowful funeral of the dead congressman whose corpse was never recovered as a result of the destruction that transformed the morgue whence his remains had been kept into a pile of desolate ruins and his casket placed in the necropolis of Vinewood, at the western section of the city near a valley of mulberry trees.
