Chapter 5
"It hurts"
Rurik's curse is all over his penthouse. He seems so broken. Agad na parang may lumukot sa puso ko. Seeing him hurt makes me feel...
"Putang ina! Dennis, I gave her everything!" Madamdamin niyang saad. He is drunk, and I think I am, too. Kanina pa kami nag-iinuman, pero mas malakas ang tama sakanya.
"Yes, you did," walang gana kong sagot habang pinaglalaruan ang bote ng mamahalin niyang alak. It's expensive that it would cost me thrice my montly salary. Well, it tastes good and strong.
"Am I not enough?"
Oh, he is having a pity party. Napabuntonghininga na lang ako.
"You are enough," sagot ko.
"Why would she cheat on me?"
"Hindi ko alam," I answered, and I drank straight from the bottle. Napangiwi ako nang gumuhit ang init sa lalamunan ko. That's weird; my throat should be numb by now.

I sighed.
"Bakit siya?" I suddenly blurted out. "Bakit siya pa?"

Ganito na ba talaga ako kahulog sa'yo? Dalawang taon pa lang naman tayong nagagaguhan, ah? Ang dense mo! Ang pathetic ko! Lumalayo na nga ako, hinihila mo naman ako pabalik! 'O nagpapahila ka naman talaga?' Panunuya ng isang bahagi ng utak ko.
What have I done? I shook my head when guilt started poking my conscience.
Binilasan ko ang pagpupunas sa leeg at kamay niya. Basang-basa ang damit niya, kaya kumuha ako ng pamalit sa closet niya. Bumalik ako sa tabi niya dala iyon at hinila pataas ang suot niyang shirt.
"Damn! Ang laki mong tao." Nagawa ko namang matanggal ang basa niyang shirt. Susuotan ko na sana siya ng bagong shirt nang mapadako ang tingin ko katawan niya.
"s**t!" May bakery sa tiyan niya, may pa pandesal! Ewan ko ano'ng pumasok sa isip ko. I poked his abs and started counting them.
"f**k. Stop it, Dennis!"
