Chapter 17

Nelly POV

Ever since Dan entered the bar and I can feel his eyes on me. Following me everywhere I go and it's making me extremely nervous.

"Maybe it's all in my head" I thought to myself and risked looking his way to make sure that the feeling I have been feeling is indeed because he's been following me with his eyes. When I turn and look his way I freeze in my spot and couldn't even blink. He's staring at me like a lion stalking its prey. His eyes are a shade darker than I remember. I shake my head a bit and get back to my work.

The creepy guy with Dan calls out for me who I later knew that his name was Jason. I gather my strength and make my way to their booth.

Nelly:"Good evening Gentlemen, What can I get you?"

I say with a smile, clenching the notepad & pen in my hand and try as hard as I could to avoid looking Dan's way. I know if I look in those eyes again I'm gonna lose it.

Jason:"Good evening indeed sweetheart, Just the regular round of beers"

He tells me with his eyes roaming all over my body, smacking his lips and giving me his disgusting smirk. I nod and quickly go to the bar to get their beers.

Timothy:"Was that Dan with them?"

I get nervous and act like I don't know what he's talking about.

Nelly:"Who?"

Timothy:"Dan. Remember the bouncer who helped us out on the first of the month. You met him that morning when you came to pick Garry up."

Nelly:"Oooh Yeah, I thought he looked familiar. I think that's him Yeah"

Timothy:"Too bad he's running with those thugs now. He's a good guy"

Timothy said while shaking his head in disappointment. I thought the same why is he with those criminals? Oh god I'm crazily attracted to a criminal!!!

I took the beers back to them while giving them the fakest smile in the world, I'm defiantly not getting an Oscar anytime soon. Just when I was leaving Jason the jerk held my wrist to stop me from leaving.

Nelly:"Excuse me!! Did you need something else?"

I tell him while glaring at his hand that's holding my wrist and try to free myself.

Jason:"Why are you so tense sweetheart? I just wanted to ask you something. You always get our orders and run away before I'm able to tell you anything"

I glare at him and look quickly at Dan and he's clenching his fists so hard his knuckles turned white and he's glaring at Jason's hand holding my wrist. I ignore him and turn back to Jason.

Nelly:"As you can see the bar is as always crowded and I have work to get back to. please unhand my wrist"

Before Jason could reply to me Dan let out a breath and whispered something in Jason's ear. Jason looked at him for a second then let go of my wrist.

Jason:"Sorry sweetheart. Didn't mean to scare you"

He said with a smug smile on his stupid face. I glare at him then turn my sight to Dan and glare at him and leave.

I went to the bar to a worried Timothy.

Timothy:"Trouble?"

Nelly:"No, Just regular creeps. I'll go use the restroom real quick"

I soon as I get in the restroom, I try to get a hold of myself. I feel so much anger. Usually I feel scared out of mind but, now I feel so angry like I want to go back out there and slap both of them. I can't help but feel stupid. I have been going out of mind thinking about him all the time, dreaming about him every night and he turned to be another pathetic common criminal.

"uugh I'm so stupid"

What did I expect? He'll be my knight in shining armor and save me from his boss or whatever. I splash some cold water on my face to cool down a little. I unlocked the door and before I'm able to get out someone pushes his way in. I almost scream but he puts a hand on my mouth and holds both my hands behind my back.

"Shshshsh calm down, I'm not gonna hurt you"

My eyes widens when I hear his voice and look up at his face.

Dan:"I'm gonna let you go now. Please don't try to scream or fight me"

I nod at him and he lets me go and raise both his hands in surrender sign.

Nelly:"What do want? What are you doing here?"

I glare at him angrily and he looked a little taken back from my sharp tone. What did he expect?! He's a criminal!. He got a hold of himself and I can no longer see any emotions on his face.

Dan:"I just wanted to come and check if you're alright"

I scoff at his reply

Nelly:"You locked us in this tiny restroom to check if I'm alright? Hahaha That's funny. Or did your boss send you after me?"

Dan:"I promise I just came to check on you. that's all"

Nelly:"Well, as you can see I'm perfectly fine. You can run back to your master"

He glares at me and I felt a little scared. Did I go too far?! I mean we are technically strangers, he doesn't owe me anything but, I can't help but feel angry at him for being with those thugs.

He took a step towards me, held my arm tightly and pulled me flush against him. My eyes widened and I stared in his eyes. I can feel like he wanted to tell me something. He opened his mouth but then he closed it, clenched his eyes shut and let out a breath.

Dan:"I'm sorry"

Then technically ran out of the restroom. I stood there trying to wrap my head around what just happed. What was he going to say? My heart was pounding against my chest. I took a deep breath and fixed my clothes and hair and left the restroom.

After the restroom incident with Dan I completely ignored him like he was not even there. Whenever I feel like getting weak I repeat to myself "He's not good for you. You need to get over this obsession"

"There's my favorite b*tch in the city"

A female voice shouts behind me. I look back at her and laughed while running to her.

Nelly:"Lilllllly, you're finally here" I say hugging her

Lilly:"Yeah, I had a crappy day and I needed a drink with my best friend"

Nelly:"Hahahahaha, that's a first, Who could ever make your day crappy?"

She sighs then looks behind me and glares and I can see smoke coming out of her ears. She points behind me and shouts.

Lilly:"YOU BAST*RD"

I look back to see who she's pointing at. I could see Dan trying his best to look anywhere other at Lilly.

"Oh Sh*t"
