(One shots)
THE MAN I MET IN MY DREAM
We all fell silent when our science teacher suddenly came in and silently wrote something in blackboard.
ONEIROLOGY
"Does anyone know this?" he asked and he placed the book on his table.
"Anyone?" he asked again and my smart classmate raised her hand.
"Yes?" he said as he held out his palm in the direction of my classmate.
"Sir, I think... oneirology is the scientific study of dreams," she answered hesitantly.
"Correct, oneirology is the scientific study of dreams. Current research seeks correlations between dreaming and current knowledge about the function of the brain, as well as understanding of how the brain works during dreaming as pertains to memory," he explained.
I raised my hand and he immediately noticed me.
"I'm curious about lucid dream, so why do lucid dreams happen?" I asked.
"Nice question, Ms. Vilocura. Listen everyone, The most common reasons for inducing lucid dreams include wish fulfillment, overcoming fears, and healing. Some studies have also shown link between inducing lucid dreams and overcoming the fear and distress associated with nightmares."
"Lucid dream is real?" My classmate asked.
"Lucid dreams are when you know that you're dreaming while you're asleep. You're awake that the events flashing through your brain aren't really happening. But the dream feels vivid and real. You may even be able to control how the action unfolda, as if you're directing a movie in your sleep," he answered.
It took a few minutes for sir to answer and explain about the lucid dream. But in what he said I didn't notice anything, all I could think about was how to have lucid dreaming.
"Sir, is a lucid dream rare?" I asked astonishment.
"Yes, it's quite rare. Only one half of the general population know the phenomenon from personal experience, approximately 20% have lucid dream a monthly basis, and only a minor of approximately 1% have lucid dream several times a week."
I leaning one of my side face against my fist. "I want to have lucid dreams," I mumbled to myself.

HOW TO ENTER LUCID DREAM?
When we are tired we can accelerate processing of rapid eye movement that will make you sleep faster. Before you do this alarm somewhere you will hear in 90 minutes. Lay on your bed straight, then you put your hands on the side by side, even your feet should be straight. Then close your eyes. Dont move and ignore the noise around you. After 20-30 min, your brain send a signal that your body is ready to sleep. Later it feels heavy then you feel like something is added to your chest, then open your eyes you will start to hallucinate, you will hear strange sound and you will see something that can be different like scary faces, image—
I did not continue my reading, because I was already feeling drowsy. I turned off my cellphone, put it aside and slowly closed my eyes.
——————
I woke up when someone shook me, so I opened my eyes and I was surprised by what I saw.
As I recall, I was in my bedroom sleeping but why am I at school now when I wake up? And who is this man I am facing? I have never tried to lucid dream!
"Are you okay?" he asked me as he touched my cheek.
"Did I dream?" I asked astonishment.
He laughed and he pulled away. "Do I look like your dream?"
I ignored what he said but I looked at the whole classroom, there's nobody and just the two of us.
I was shocked when he suddenly grabbed my hand and pulled me out of the classroom.
"Hey! Let me go!" I screamed but he didn't listen to me.
He looked at me as we both ran and he smiled sweetly. I don't know him, but he's good looking. He has black hair, tall, porcelain skin and beautiful eyes that even have eyebugs.
"The breeze is nice here, so if you have a problem, shout here," he said.
I never realized that we are here on the rooftop. I lost my smile as I felt the coolness of the breeze and I slowly stepped to the side of the rooftop. I didn’t want to scream, I just wanted to feel the cold air touch my skin. And I looked down and I was amazed at what I saw.
"Isn't it beautiful?" He asked as he also looked at below.
I have been studying at this school for 4 years but only now have I discovered the back of the building. The back is very wide and there are beautiful yellow grasses.
"I want to go there, can you come with me?" I uttered.
He smiled at me and he held my hand. I wonder what his name is.
"What's your na—"
"Jessica, wake up!! You will be late for school!"
I was stunned just staring at the ceiling of my room. Everything is just a dream but why do I seem to feel even more peace in the dream. Why was I so relieved of the man I met in the dream?
——————
I have been dreaming for a few days that I am with that man. I didn't realize that I had fallen in love with him.
"I'm tired.." I mumbled.
The afternoon class had just ended but my whole body seemed very tired.
I have been to the back of the building in the dream but not in reality. So I thought of going there and when I got there I was exposed to the beautiful yellow grass. The place in my dream was real, it was as if I was lucid dreaming.
I lay down on the grass, my whole body was exhausted and I didn’t realize I was asleep.

I felt someone caress my cheek and when I opened my eyes his face was exposed to mine. Our lips are almost touching. But I noticed in his eyes the sadness. It was as if his eyes were saying that he was so lonely.
I suddenly remembered that every time I asked his name I would suddenly wake up so I touched both of his cheeks.
"What’s your name?" I asked him and there was a look of astonishment on his face.
"You don’t know me?" He asked me in a sad tone.
"Huh? How can I know you?" I asked sarcastically.
He lay down well and sadly looked at the sky. "I guess.. nobody really remembers me."
"What do you mea—"
"I'm Azrail Sanchez," He was cutting off what I was going to say and he turned to face me.
He parted my hair and he smiled sweetly. "I’m your schoolmate.
Because of what he said I stood up from lying down. "Really? What grade are you in? What section are you in?" I asked excitedly.
He pulled me causing me to lie in his arms.
"I’m grade 10. I'm from the FORGET ME NOT section," he uttered.
He stroked my arm and looked up at the sky. "I was very lonely here until I met you. I experienced being happy and not feeling loneliness."
Because of what he said, my whole face warmed up. He parted my bangs and he kissed me on the forehead.
"Thanks to you my love."
——————
I haven't dreamed for two days but I still feel tired all over my body even though I'm not doing anything.
"Ugh! I miss him," I mumbled.
"Do you have a boyfriend? You didn't even tell me!" My friend shouted and slapped me on the arm.
"Ouch!" I moaned in pain.
"So who is the lucky man who captured my friend's heart? " She asked curiously.
I looked at her hesitantly and eventually I took a deep breath.
"Will you believe me if I tell you that I met him in my dream?" I asked.
"Really? Can you lucid dreaming!!?" She asked in shock.
"I don't know. I just suddenly dreamed that he was with me and continued everyday," I answered.
My eyes widened as I remembered the information he had given me. So I held my friend's arm tightly.
"He said he's my schoolmate, come with me in the FORGET ME NOT section," I said and quickly pulled her out.
"Wait a minute!" She complained and grabbed my hand that was holding her arm.
"What’s his name?" She asked me.
"Azrail Sanchez," I answered.
I stared at my friend when I saw her reaction. She looked shocked and depressed.
"W-Why?" I asked astonishment.
"He used to be a friend of my brother. He was my older brother's classmate in grade 10 in the forget me not section," she answered in a lifeless tone and she pointed to the rooftop of the building where Azrail had taken me.
My two knees weakened at her answer. It was as if a few knives had pierced my heart. I don’t want to believe because what my friend said was...
"He jumped there and he fell to the bottom of the back of the building. HE KILLED HIMSELF, JESSICA. HE DIED FIVE YEARS AGO."
