As soon as I got there, he stood up, got closer to me and gave me a kiss.

He took my hand and led me to a secret passage that was hidden behind his throne. When he opened the door, I couldn't believe my eyes. Behind those walls there was a beautiful garden. There were so many different flowers. I wasn't a specialist, but I could tell there were red roses, tulips and orchids. This place was perfect.

-Seth…This is so beautiful…When did you plant all these?

-I have been working on this place over this past month

-Ah, so that's what you were doing

-I wanted to make a place that was as beautiful as you, and this came to mind

With his every word my heart skipped a beat. Nobody has ever done or said anything this romantic for me.

-These flowers will remain like this for all eternity, so don't be concerned about them wilting

-I poured my blood into them…Royal blood vampires can turn anything they wish immortal

As he was saying that, his hands were holding mine tightly.

-Kristal, will you be mine for all eternity?

Once again this man made me go ecstatic! His eyes were soft and his smile was melting.

-Is that even a question?! Of course I will, forever and ever

My eyes filled with tears of joy! I was really going to spend the rest of my life with the man I loved so deeply! This was truly a dream come true.

Seth was overjoyed as well, he kissed me as if there was no tomorrow.

-Thank you Kristal…I promise you, I will do everything in my power to make you smile!…At first I only felt attracted to your blood, because of how sweet it tasted, but I soon realized that it wasn't just your blood I longed for…It was you, all of you

He stroke my hair and continued explaining:

-I didn't want to believe my feelings, and so I had planned to treat you as mere livestock…Obviously I wasn't able to go through with it…I wanted to give you all the love I had

-Oh Seth, you can't imagine how happy this makes me!…I know you still have a hard time opening up to me, but right now, because of your words I feel so special

I embraced him in my arms. Seth was so precious to me, I loved him with all my being, and knowing that he felt the same way…There was no word that could possibly even begin to describe the joy and excitement I felt.

-My Kristal, will you…let me mark you?

-Yes, yes! I'm yours, body and soul, you're free to do anything you see fit with me

-I swear, you're the most amazing woman I've ever seen

This is really happening! Seth and I are going to be together forever. This man, who I met by mere coincidence, is going to be mine and mine alone.

Seth pulled my hair aside and got close to my neck. My heart started to beat faster again, my breathing also got heavier. Seth must've noticed, for he said:

-Do not be frightened…I won't hurt you

His deep and tender voice calmed me down. He was right, I had nothing to fear, Seth was always so gentle with me. Before biting me, Seth licked my neck. He was trying to make it so I didn't feel any pain at all. How kind he was. I relaxed my body and let myself be swayed by him. Seth was ready to bite, he opened his mouth and his fangs touched my skin…

-Your majesty! Prince Seth!

A vampire guard interrupted us, Seth had not finished biting me. So I was still not marked by him.

-What in the bloody hell is so urgent that you had to barge in like that?- shouted Seth

-It's your siblings Crown Prince, they are here…In the palace

Seth's expression changed as soon as he heard that. His stare was now cold and his grip got stronger. He was surely furious to know of his siblings arrival. His silence left me unsettled. I did not know what I should do, but I certainly had to calm him down.

-Hey Seth…Don't worry, I will be there with you, everything is going to be just fine

He turned to look at me. His gaze was cold and fierce. It was even worse than when we first met. It sent chills down my spine. “Did I say something wrong?” I wanted to ask, but my lips wouldn't do as I wanted.

-Kristal, I am breaking our deal!

-Wait what?

-You are no longer the Crown Prince's livestock, you shall now return home to where you truly belong

-What are you saying? It makes no sense, you just told me that we would be together for all eternity

My eyes had started to tear. I knew he was lying, he didn't want me to leave, so why was he saying such things?

-Ha, did you really think I was serious about that? You a lowly Human spending your life with me!?…How pathetic

So it was a lie!? Seth was just pretending? He didn't really love me?. At that point I was a waterfall, his harsh words seemed to have no end. How could I be this foolish? To believe a perfect man like him would love a stupid girl like me! In the end, it was all just a dream.

-Take her out through the back door…She should not be seen by anyone

-Yes sir!…Let's go Human, don't bother his majesty anymore

The vampire guard grabbed me by the arm and was pushing me to go. I had no strength left in me, so I was easily taken by him. All the way out of the palace, my eyes never left the ground. I didn't want to be seen in that ugly state. Even if Seth had honestly never loved me, I wanted his last memory of me to be joyful.
