7th Bite

My life with him went on like that for a month. We spent everyday together. Whenever I woke up, without exception, he would be there, caressing my hair or my cheeks. At breakfast we would always eat together, although everytime Seth had his meal, we'd end up having s*x. Of course I liked that, which is why I provoked him most of the time. Seth also started to open up with me. Little by little, day by day, he would tell me more about himself and about his past. Occasionally, we would spend the entire day just laying in bed, talking about how our lives were before meeting each other. Although in those days I'd end up crying the most. His family was so cruel to him. Because Seth was the oldest of the siblings, he had to train and study double, and whenever he made a little mistake, his dad would punish him to the point where he couldn't get up anymore. How cruel that was. Your own child was pushing so hard to make you proud and you'd just focus on the small mistakes he committed. I was unable to understand his fathers thinking. His siblings were not that good either. The second child, his younger sister, Lorelai, would often seduce men with her womanly charms and then, as she sucked their blood, she'd always leave them conscious and with the minimal amount of blood. She did so, so she could enjoy watching them struggle to survive, even though they had no chance. She would also often manipulate Seth into doing something she wanted, threatening him with their father, who cherished Lorelai very much and would do anything she'd ask for. But the worst was yet to come. Third and last child, Seth's younger brother, Cain. He was the most cruel and cold blooded. No matter what and no matter who, he always made it so that his victims would have the most painful deaths. Be it men, women or even a child, Cain had no mercy, to him, Humans were merely toys that he could play with whenever he wanted to. He considered us simple bugs that he had to squish. Above that, he also made Seth's life difficult at every opportunity he had. If there was something Seth did wrong, Cain would never fail to snitch him to their father, if there was something Seth liked, Cain would make sure to either destroy it or take it to himself. “He is someone you wouldn't want to get involved with, unless, of course, you are trying to end your life in the most disturbing way possible”, said Seth. So far, his family was horrible. The one person he did not speak ill of was his mother. She was the only one who didn't treat him like he was a useless existence. She gave him love and always tried to defend him against her husband. Aside from that, she also thought a lot like a Human. She respected them and looked up to them for holding their ground against the vampires. I had finally understood why Seth didn't want to talk about his family. Except for his mother, none of them were good to him. Hearing him talk about this made me shed a great deal of tears. I wanted to make him feel even a little better, but there was not much I could do, and that frustrated me! Once in a while, Seth would disappear for a couple of hours, and while he wasn't around, I chatted with Dorothy and Jeanna. Jeanna still wasn't very fond of me, but I think she at least didn't find me disgusting, like she had told me before. Dorothy was as fun as always, she would often prepare me desserts and tell me stories about her past lovers, which for some reason, always ended up with a dagger in their heart. Everything was going so smoothly it all seemed like a sweet dream. This morning, when I woke up, I found a letter. It was Seth's, he told me to get ready and meet him at the royal hall. Now this was something new, could he be preparing a surprise for me? I rushed myself and went to the royal hall. When I got there, Seth was sitting on his throne, waiting for me.
