11: Meeting Mr. Jordan WHITE SLEPT FOR SIX STRAIGHT HOURS, the longest he’d had in over a month. He felt refreshed and energised but famished. He showered, enjoying the luxury of expensively packaged shampoo and scented bath soap supplied by the hotel. The towel was soft and fluffy, something he could get used to if he could afford it. A quick sniff test indicated his clothes were okay to re-use; no one would die sitting next to him. He left his room to eat at a fast-food place and got as much burger inside him as he could fit, and then booked an Uber to take him to his house.
