Chapter 9: Black Leather Jacket

Gabriella POV***

    Lorenzo drags me down the stairs as Ava's mom tails behind up. "Let me Go!!" I scream as Lorenzo laughs and yanks me up so I am facing him. "Don't worry one way or another I'll let you go". Luca and Angelo walk in through the front door and point their guns towards Lorenzo. "Let her go Lorenzo this won't end well if you hurt her". Lorenzo smirks as Ava's mom smirks. "Juile give it over". She hands him a pocket knife and he presses it to my throat. Luca pulls the trigger and Lorenzo Swipes the knife across my throat. I began to inhale blood and my lungs began to get flooded with the thick substance. I drop to the floor as Luca rushes and puts his hand tightly around my throat.

     It's too late, I know it's too late. I mouth "Tell my family I love them and thank you for everything". I say as my eyes roll back. 

    I shoot up from my bed as I'm covered in sweat panting, Ava bursts in the room as she runs to my bed. "Gabby, gabby you're fine nothings wrong you had a bad dream". She says as she rubs my back. I nod and look at the clock and the date. It's the first day of my Senior year after Logan basically beat up Max, he left for a boarding school because they offered him a spot on their football team and he eventually got a full ride scholarship for the University of Arizona so I haven't seen him since. And also because of the fact every time he comes home I'm usually at my grandparents beach house with Alexis. 

    Alexis was the neighbors daughter grandma belle was talking about, after she transferred and stuff we became best friends but two years ago she graduated so I  had to make new friends which wasn't hard because Max was gone and his group eventually left me alone after Angel got pregnant from Malcolm and she had to move back home in Montana. Alexis still lives with me and is going to trade school near our house. She's studying to be a lawyer. She got accepted to Harvard but denied it because she wanted to stay with me until we could both leave. I offered to move with her out to Boston but she said no because my parents wouldn't say yes, and well they didn't. 

    Dawn and Tyler still don't ever call me, they really only come down to see Ava and the last couple of times everytime I see them it ends with a fight because my mom gets mad at my decisions and well dad doesn't seem to care enough. Ever since they've left for London they make me feel like a burden. They say I only call when I want money or want them to come down, which Is why I stopped calling them in general. Ava has talked to them about it but they are so stubborn to believe that they are neglecting their own child. 

    Since they left and took my younger sibling with them, they've had another child. His name is Troy, he just turned one last June. It's currently September 3 we start school today. I stayed the night at Ava's penthouse because Alexis left a week ago and were renovating the beach house right now because the walls needed to be repainted and my grandma wanted to redo the kitchen so I kinda can't live there right now. But I went back in two days and couldn't stay in my parents Penthouse because they sold it because I moved into the beach house. When they come they stay at Ava's penthouse, they're coming in a week for Dawn's birthday. She wanted to celebrate it with the "Whole family" she says but I know she's lying. She wants to go get drunk and party with Ava and their men at clubs while I'm stuck babysitting. 

    "Thanks for that Ava". I say as I hug her, she hugs me back "Thank you for being a mom to be these past couple years". I say as she pulls away and smiles. "You welcome sweetheart, I know Dawn hasn't been there for you and I am sorry about that". I smile and nod. 

    "I probably should get ready for school''. she nods and gets up. "I'll make breakfast or do you wanna order from Gatsby's?" she lifts her eyes and I nod. "Of course Gatsby's breakfast you can't cook''. I laugh as her eyes widen. "Hey I am a great cook and I'll get your usual ''. she says as she walks out. I get up and walk into the bathroom, I turn my the shower and go into my closet to choose clothing. I grab my high waisted blue ripped shorts, and my black Led-Zeppelin Graphic Tee and put it on the counter. I then grab my black bra and matching underwear set and socks and put it on the counter in the bathroom. I take off all of my clothing and hope into the shower. 

    After I finish showering I get dressed and grab my black converse and socks from my drawer. I brush my wet hair and put Mascara on. After I finish doing that I put deodorant and Perfume on and walk out of the bathroom. I make my bed and put on my shoes, after I am done putting on my shoes I go brush my teeth. "What are you doing here??" I hear Ava scream. I grab my keys, phone and bag and Walk out of my room. I see Max standing there with two other guys. The one on the left of Max has blond hair with dark green eyes, he is wearing black jeans and a white T-shirt with Black classic vans on. The one to the right of Max has black hair and bright blue eyes, he is wearing a black t-shirt and blue jeans, he's wearing black converse. Lastly Max is wearing Black jeans with a white t-shirt and a black leather jacket. 

    Everyone turns their attention towards me, "Why the f**k are you wearing a black leather Jacket when its 88 outside you look like a d**k".
