Braydac looked uncomfortable sitting on the bed next to mine with a wiring harness on his head. He’d refused to talk to me and he looked at me with a scowl.
I told him. I realised that he wasn’t blocking me.
His scowl smoothed out a fraction.
Madhur had informed us of a change in plan when we’d arrived that morning.
“What do you mean?” I’d asked.
“I think that these results would improve if we removed your memory block.”
I felt my body tense up. What did he have in mind for that?
Braydac tensed when he turned to him. “You will solve this problem for us.”
“What? What do you want from me? I’m already stuck here babysitting her for you.”
“Be quiet. I don’t pay you to complain. You will do one of those Mind-link things and start mining her memories and bringing them out.”
