The next morning after I’d had something to eat, Jarleth took me to Tasha’s cave on the edge of the village.
On the way, I was having trouble concentrating on what he was saying. I couldn’t stop thinking about the discovery I’d made the night before that I could see in the dark. I’d lain in bed looking at all the things in my room and wondering why I had this ability, until it hit me. How else would I be able to see where I was going in the depths of the ocean?
