The answer for the problems

              The next day, Xerxes, Rupert, and Ramirez properly welcomes her into the shop and even prepared a little feast. “Is this all necessary? I don’t mean I don’t like this but aren’t we opening the store?” Samantha said with a worried tone as the three glance at each other. “What are you talking about? There shouldn’t be store office in weekends.” Rupert said with a casual tone. “Then how did you manage to prepare this much food for welcoming me?” Rupert turns his head as while Ramirez shakes his head in disappointment.

              “Don’t talk to Rupert that much. He just wants to sound nice and clever but sometimes he is an i***t like any other people in the world. The truth is that we also forgot that it is weekend today. That’s all.” Ramirez said. “That aside, we also prepared this much because our plan is going to be carried out tomorrow.” Xerxes cuts in as the two nods. “What plan?” Samantha was not able to listen to their meetings since she is occupied by the thoughts of danger the past few days.

              “Weren’t you always- never mind. We plan to expand the shop. Since this I becoming the place where we are going to stay, we decided to buy the land at the back. I have already talked with the owner and we have already made some negotiations. Tomorrow the owner will hand the title of the land to us and is already getting the land clean. That’s the second reason we are celebrating.” Xerxes repeated after remembering the events that happened just yesterday.

              “What expand? But this place is already huge is this not enough?” the three of them stares at her blankly. “Did I say something wrong?” she asks in concern but Xerxes brushes her thoughts off. “No, it came to use after you applied to work here. With the services of our shop getting famous. There will be a time in the future that we will not be able to carry out the commissions and people will apply for work here. That is why we are going to expand the shop. The future employees will have the option to stay and live here. Of course the food is on us and the other necessities. There will be separate rooms for male and female employees and the backyard will be used as training grounds to develop and strengthen our bodies.” Xerxes explains further as Samantha also realize that it might happen someday.

              “That is quite true, people are talking about the shop the entire time I walk on the streets. Just over two commissions and they shop is already famous, that will surely happen but why have a training ground?” Samantha still has no idea why the training grounds is important and at that moment, the atmosphere turns serious. “You know Samantha, when we went to look for your father, we have encountered monsters that no human has seen before expect for the missing people as well as your father. They are entirely different than what people casually see everyday.” Samantha nods her head after getting the main idea as Rupert hands her the creatures that he had day

              She looks at the drawings and gasp in awe and with a mix of terror. [These are really detailed! How are they able to get a hold of these creatures without getting seen? Even the dimension of the creatures are written as well! Mr. Rupert is quite thorough in his work everyday but I did not think that he could push himself even more.’ Samantha thinks to herself as she scans through the pages but then stops at the last page. “!” “An elf?” she mutters after seeing the last creature but it is labeled with non monsters. “Kusaf? Is this the elf’s name?”  Rupert turns to her and nods her head. “We met him the day before we found your father. He was the one who told us about people getting dragged in that place to be food for those people.”

              Samantha’s face brightens after hearing what Rupert said. “Wow! The drawing is detailed, he must be really handsome.” Ramirez chuckles and laughs right after hearing her compliment. “Hahaha!  That guys is handsome indeed but he is really cocky and disrespectful. He nearly made me want to punch him to death for disrespecting master.” Ramirez said but Xerxes told him off. “That guy has some things going on in his part so his behavior is understandable. And he doesn’t look like a bad guy so there is nothing bad with him.” He adds in. “Now that you understand what I mean, without a weak an untrained body. Venturing into the point where hunters would not go further from is basically a death wish. We were lucky that we are able to make a shelter out of those things we found there or we’ll be dead as well.”

              Samantha gets the gist of everything and also agrees after Xerxes’s further explanation. “You said that employees will be able to stay here right? So can I stay here after things are ready?” Samantha ask and the three have nothing against her idea. “But the question is ‘would your parents even allow that?’ as of now there are only four of us here and three of us are men so if you decided to stay here with a bunch of guys wouldn’t people get the wrong idea?” Xerxes points out and the two nod their heads in agreement.

              Samantha gets into pondering as well and then realized that what he said makes sense. “Yeah- I guess that would be bad after all.”

              GROWL!

              Samantha’s stomach growls right after saying that his idea makes sense and the three laugh. “Well, we actually spend the entire time talking and the food had gone cold. Let’s eat while discussing things. That way we can think more clearer.” All of them agreed and say their thanks before eating the food.

              “Master now that I think about it. When we got there to the island, there are some things that the people there used that is really knew to me but I think Ramirez is new to it as well. Are we going to explore that place again sometime?” Rupert as Xerxes nods his head. “That we should, as you have seen, they have some sort of advanced weapons but due to their disease they can’t make use of it properly. First we need to familiarize the place around there and make a map, that way we can’t get lost and it would be better if we can gather somethings that we can study.” Xerxes added.

              “What? You plan to venture there again?!” Samantha jolts in surprise after hearing conversation. “It’s only natural that we should venture further. That is the only way we can understand those people more. And its not like we can always stick to hunting in the same grounds forever. Resources will tend to run out in due time so before it runs out we must adapt to the new hunting grounds that will most likely to be nest place where most hunters will go to. The faster we can get to adapt, the more it is advantageous for us. After all, rare and not usually seen objects or monsters always sells a high price.” Xerxes smiles.

              Rupert and Samantha being the only two that use their minds to think about things properly, they immediately understand the intentions of Xerxes. “But Mr. Xerxes, doesn’t that come with consequences as well?” Samantha said with a concerned expression. “I’m surprised that you have already deducted the possible consequences. Let’s hear what you have to say.” Xerxes’ got interested for the things that she is about to say.

              “First, if we monopolize the information about the hunting grounds in some certain areas. Won’t people start to give us commissions about certain things? Having commissions is not bad but the problem comes after that, people will try and plant some spies if the commission they asked is successful. Second is the way people will act if they try to venture into that place without any prior knowledge about that certain place. They might try to sue you for that.” She says as Xerxes smiles and claps his hand. “That is good but don’t worry. I already have something to do in mind. That will surely solve both problems.”

              Xerxes chuckles suspiciously as the three stares at him and felt like there is something wrong that is going to happen. After finishing all the food that is set on the table, they all clean up and calls it a day.

              The next day, the owner of the land at the back gave them the title for the land. “I have already cleaned the place so there is no need for that.” The owner said. Both parties agreed and Xerxes gave him the payment and adds and extra for cleaning the land. “Now that this is done. Why don’t we do the thing that I had in mind?” Xerxes said as he releases a malicious aura around him.

              The four then went to the building that manages all the information inside the portal. “Hello I am Rowan, How may I help you?” the clerk ask as Xerxes hands over the creatures that Rupert documented. “I want to put this information up for auction.” The three drops their jaw as well as the clerk after hearing what he said. “HUH!?”
