EQ vs IQ
"There is the wisdom of the head, and a wisdom of the mind".
The citation taken from the legendary novel “Hard Times” highlights the significance of the two aspects of life "head" and "heart". Mutually the words start with the consonant ‘H', but have entirely two diverse prominences in every human body; both psychologically and intellectually.
In this age of civilization recognition of a lubricant brain is known to each and every youngster; and the history verifies it, as Akbar elected Birbal as his minister because of his wit and knowledge and turning a blind eye to his economically pathetic emotions. Concisely our heart is just a mere pumping organ, the world has its interest in our wisdom rather than our emotions.
In today's world, a real leader needs to have these two talents, one of the head and the other of the heart - Sensibility and Sensitivity. Life demands a balance of these two things as if someone works on the theory of sensibility, then the person lacks emotional state whereas if a person lives up to his/her sentiments so considerably that at the drop of the hat their inner health initiates to blurt out.
Feelings shouldn’t be deserted as if you don’t sense something true, march away for the reason that probabilities are it’s NOT right. Your heart is brainier as it is accountable for the functioning of the head. Your temperament is the intelligence that came before your mind. We form an emotional brain long before we form a rational one. Research shows that your intelligence quotient can only help you to prolong your life 20%, the rest 80% depends on your emotional quotient. Now you can understand how your HEART dramatically impacts how your BRAIN works, not the other way around.
But the former aspect of our lifespan is literacy which is also important for the survival of human race as intelligence is foremost in the understanding skills and overall achievement and also to sustain a valid respect in this highly able social order. Common sense is a good gift given to all which should be used often to avoid casualties in life and it is also a significant element for success and a bright so-called happy life.
For an instance from my life, I have seen many toddlers polishing their IQ level at their young stages, and in this cut-throat competition world parents want their child either to be an IITIAN's or an AIIMS aspirant and here lies the problem; as parents somewhere forget that moral etiquettes too are essential, if they would have thought about it problems like suicide, harassment, bullying could never have been imagined!!
So, we can conclude that if you want to reach the pinnacle of success, always think of 80 percent EQ and 20 percent IQ. This combination will give you wings to reach where you want as both brain and heart are essentials for our body, and we can't neglect either of them to continue living a balanced and proportioned life. Traveling the long journey of life with only one of them will only make a one-way journey and lifetime become tasteless. The only way to change someone's mind is to connect with them from the heart.
So it’s on us; the youngsters either to become well-read or educated citizens of our country!
