Alfred tossed the logbook onto the table along with the pencil and fell onto a stool. Joseph handed him a hand towel from his personal sack. “Well?” “Winds at forty-four,” he reported, wiping his face dry. “Pressure at twenty-nine point one-six-five.” Joseph stiffened. “One-six-five?” Alfred nodded as he wiped at his hair. “Total rain was nearly an inch and three-tenths, but you’ll not be taking any more measurements—” Joseph gripped the logbook and slid it wildly across the table.
