Jason pov
“Hey, Tony.”
“Hey, Jason. Beer?” I nod. After a long day at work, I always want a beer in my best friend's Mark bar. I’m not the only mechanic in town but most people here trust me to do a good job. Tony also a friend from school and Mark's partner gives me my beer.
“Where is Mark?” I ask him. Usually, work the night shift.
“Fiona is back in town. He is in his parent's home to welcome her” Fiona is back. He says that she will come back, but with my work and his job and also his wedding in two weeks we have to talk for almost a week.
“Yeah, right. He said to me that she was coming but not when. And I have talked to him for few days”
“A lot of work?”
“No s**t. After the crushing on the bright a week ago, everyone comes to me. I hired a third assistant to help me. I need another week to finish”
“Well, your dad leaves you a good business. And you became the best here” That’s true, my dad has a few good clients but I make the mechanic store. I have the most people in town as clients and from nearby towns.
“So Fi is back?” he looks at me with a smile. He knows that I had a crush on Fi. And I have told him that back before she leaves from college I was her first. Of course, Mark doesn’t know anything. He has forbidden us to do something with his little sister. But that night she was so beautiful and she wanted it so much. She needed me to be her first. And I never forget that night.
“Yes, this afternoon. She is staying for the summer” only for the summer?
“Maybe if you give her a reason she will stay longer,” Tony says to me.
“If she has a life in New York, I don’t think she will want to stay here”
“Don’t be so sure” We chatted a little and then I left for home. On the way out of the bar, I see Jessie. My ex and I broke up with her three years ago but we have been on and off since then. Six months ago I decided that enough is enough. I didn’t do anything with her again. The truth is after Mark tells me that Fi coming for summer I end things with Jessie. Maybe inside me, I have the hope that Fi still feeling the same about me. And I don’t want someone like Jessie to ruin that.
“Hey baby” she comes near to hug me but I put my hand in front of me
“Hey Jessie, goodnight”
“Why so cold?” she says
“Jessie I don’t have time”
“You always make time for me”
“In the past. Not now” She comes closer
“I still love you, Jason. Why do you have to break up with me?”
“I don’t love you. Or do I want to try again, Leave me alone” I say and walk outside
“I will not leave it like that,” she says but I’m already in the car. What do I have to do Jessie to understand that everything is over? My mind this time is in someone else.
