Arthur’s hideaway sat on a moderately sized compound. A steel-grilled gate at the front protected it from intruders. Anyone really determined to break into the place, however, wouldn't have a hard time jumping over it since it was one of those modern affairs–placed more for aesthetic purposes rather than safety. If one looked closely, though, a small break in the concrete wall, partly covered by a smattering of foliage at the side, would make jumping over the fence unnecessary. Clearly, Arthur wasn’t really very conscious about security.
