It’s been almost half an hour since Angelo and Martin went inside Arthur’s compound and Miguel was getting restless. He’d tried to call Matthew but there was no network signal where he sat. It could be just a dead spot but since he did not know the real situation in and out of the area, he couldn’t risk leaving the car to search for better reception. He turned to reach for his bag in the back seat of the truck and was startled when he caught sight of Isabella.
Damn! I’d forgotten about her!
“Hey! Uhm…are you okay back there? There’s a couple of bottled water inside my bag if you’re thirsty.”
“No, I’m fine. But, thanks for the offer,” Isabella replied, surprised at Miguel’s hospitality.
