I WASN’T EXPECTING THE CELEBRATION of my mother’s birthday to be like this- seemingly a bigger gathering with tables and chairs filling up our backyard. I felt like shrinking immediately the moment I placed my feet on the doorstep, also considering the fact that it seems like they are in a certain theme because the guests were wearing the same color which is powder blue and white while I was wearing something darker which makes me utterly noticeable.
