1045 Words
Shin mina is Ha rin's one and only friend which she made on her third year in high school. She wasn't like the others who made fun of her instead she was caring and kind to her. After high school they both went to the same college together, which was Hayang University and after that she decided to be a hairstylist which had always been her dream since middle School and Ha rin decided to get herself a job. Mina had just transferred to their school on their third year and they both happened to be in the same class. At first she didn't know Ha rin was being bullied by her classmates until she went to the restroom one afternoon. As she approached the door she heard some noises like someone was sobbing and some others were laughing. "What's going on here?" She asked when she walked in. There were three girls there and on the floor was another who had flour all over on her face and her right cheek was a little swollen. "And who is this?" One of the bullies asked. "Oh, it's the transfered girl at our class" the second one said. "What do you want new girl?" The leader of the group asked as she packed her hair in a ponytail. "Don't you know it's rude to reply a question with another question" mina said as she stood in front of the leader. "Damn it..you better use the toilet and leave before you end up like...." She was still talking when min Joo slapped her on the cheek making the other girls shocked. The leader fell on the floor with her hand on her cheek, it really hurt her. "What do you think you are doing?" She shouted out loud but was answered with another slap on the other cheek and this frightened her. "This girl isn't normal?" She thought to herself as a tear rolled down her left cheek. "Have ever wondered why I ended up at this school?" She asked with a scoff and squated to the level of the leader of the bullies. The other two girls were too scared and ran out. "I beat up people like you to the extent they ended up at the hospital" she said and chuckles.. The girl got really scared and ran out of the restroom. "Silly girls" mina sighed as she picked up the glasses that was on the floor, it probably belonged to the girl who was sitting on the floor. "Hey, are you okay?" She asked Ha rin who nodded as tears rolled down her cheeks. This was the first time someone except for her mother had helped her out, she couldn't hold back her tears and started to cry out loud. "Of course you aren't okay" mina said as she hugged her while rubbing her back. "It's going to be okay, you shouldn't cry because of them" she consoled her. After some minutes the young girl stopped crying. Mina helped her up and made her stand in front of the mirror. "We need to get you cleaned up" mina said. She then removed the ribbon she used to pack her hair and packed Ha rin's. She then used her handkerchief to wipe her face gently. The flour wasn't coming off her face easily so she decided to turn on the sink tap to wet the handkerchief. After she was done cleaning her up, she noticed a small cut on Ha rin's cheek. "What are this girls exactly, thugs?. How could they do such a thing to a pretty girl like you" she said with a frown. "Don't worry about it, when I get home I'll apply an ointment on it" Ha rin said quietly. "Wow, you actually talk. I wasn't starting to get worried you weren't" mina said jokingly. "Well... I.." Ha rin tried to talk but was interrupted by mina. "You shouldn't worry, luckily for you I happen to carry band aids with me " she said as she opened her purse which she was carrying and brought out the band aids. "When you get home don't forget to apply the ointment so that it won't leave a scar on this beautiful face of yours" she said after she put the band aid on her cheek. "Thank you" Ha rin was grateful. She couldn't believe there was still a nice soul in this school after all she went through. "And for the finishing touches" she said as she made Ha rin turn and face her. "What?" Ha rin was confused. ""Miss Ha rin" mina looked at her name tag and called out her name. "Your glasses"mina then put it on for her . "That's good then" mina said and smiled at her , Ha rin smiled back. After that incident, Ha rin wanted to stay away from mina. She didn't want what happened with the leader of the bullies before to repeat itself. She had approached Ha rin in their first year saying she wanted them to be close friends and after Ha rin accepted she went all over the school spreading terrible things about her. She called Ha rin all sort of names and told her how could she think someone as beautiful as she is could be friends with a nerd like her. Ha rin didn't want that to happen so she tried her best to avoid Mina but she wasn't going to let her be. She would always come and have lunch with her, insist they go home together, help her with her studies and with time they both ended up becoming close friends. She was different from the other girls at school, Ha rin saw that in her and was happy that she had such an encounter with someone as nice as mina was. "How dare you come to see me looking like that?" Mina asked as soon as the young man had left. "What do you mean?" Ha rin asked. "What's with your hair, I've told you to come every now and then so that I can style your hair" mina said with a slight frown. "But you already styled it last week" Ha rin said. "That was last week, you should look your best every now and then.
