CHAPTER 03

YOU MEAN ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO ME

Anna shivered in shock and quickly ran to her room in tears, she couldn't believe Ethan had just spoken to her that way. She was hopelessly in love with him and she felt bitter to see him behave that way to her.

It pained her a lot especially as he already addressed Vera as his wife even before the wedding. She knew a commoner like her was not in a place to love him but she couldn't help herself and she already knew nothing was left for her again.

He had never spoken to her that way. Not even for one day since he had been serving him.

"Was he just angry about something else or was it because she had fallen in love and had given herself to him so cheaply."

"Did he love her or he had just wanted to cheat on his lover with her?" She wondered as many thoughts flooded her head.

She was almost at the brim of tears, he had never been this mean to her why now especially as she now loved him so deeply and couldn't hold herself.

She sobbed on her bed until she slept off.

It was a day to the wedding and the Wilson family had been preparing big for their only heir.

The Wilson's big hall was beautifully and greatly designed with different glittering flowers around the corners. Red love-shaped balloons were hung on the ceiling of the big huge hall.

The fluorescent light of different colours brought perfection to the whole place. The chairs were placed around the round tables as beautiful roses rounded them.

The whole place looked exquisite and luxurious.

They had invited only dignitaries and wealthy business people to their event.

The whole day had been hectic as different servants worked tirelessly to make sure the event was a success.

Anna had worked tirelessly that day. Vera had made sure she did much strenuous work. She was the only one in the kitchen while other servants were outside doing one thing or the other.

She was assigned to clean, wash and arrange all that would be used for serving the next day.

It was a whole lot and she had to do it. She still couldn't understand why she was assigned such difficult work even when her work was only to serve and take care of the needs of the young master.

She had tried to leave the place once she was done, but Vera had made sure she went from doing one work to the other and even when all the servants had gone to rest, she was still the only one working. She still didn't understand why Vera hated her so much.

The whole thing was already tiring but there was nothing she could do.

Luckily, she had finished all the work she was given and it was already past 2 pm.

She was about to step out of the kitchen when she noticed Vera walking towards the hallway.

She was dressed in a red queen's shouldered gown and black long boots with a black purse and a sunshade on. It was obvious she was going out.

"Thank Goodness" Anna exhaled as she continued walking towards the huge tall entry door in the mansion. At least she was not going to be around to frustrate her more as she had done today.

She left the kitchen and went towards the hallway, as she continued going she noticed a figure walking closer to her. It was Ethan, her Ethan.

He looked so handsome and sexy in his outing wear and the way his silky hair relaxed. His scent filled the air bringing perfection to the whole place.

He was one charming man one could die for. It was obvious that he was going out with his Fiancee.

He was about to pass her but as he came nearer, she moved closer to his front, almost opposite to him and blocked his way.

"Hi Ethan" she smiled with hope and tried to touch him but he stepped back avoiding her touch.

"It is Sir to you, not Ethan", Ethan warned strictly as he maintained a stern face.

"What is it? What do you want from me?" He asked as his cold mean eyes pierced hers.

"Pls don't tell me it's true that you're really getting married".

"You said you loved me and that you were going to spend forever with me. Pls, what is going on" Anna said as tears threatened to fall out of her eyes.

Ethan let out a mocking laugh as he maintained his cold face

"Love you?, Spend forever with you? What are you talking about?" He asked as he looked at her surprised and almost irritated.

"I know the whole wedding arrangements had been stressing you and you have probably forgotten but that's what you said to me" She said her voice trembling. She tried to touch him again but he stepped back. The way he looked at her broke her heart. She had never seen him this cold or look at her meanly.

"Look Anna, scrap out everything that happened between us, I was probably under the influence that night and was seriously missing my fiance and I needed to cool off that's definitely why I said those stuffs to you. Forget about it, all were just mere words, You mean absolutely nothing to me. You're just a common maid and you should maintain that position." He said without emotions in his face and voice.

"You said you had feelings for me and you were never going to leave me" Anna said soberly. t

Tears were already pouring from her eyes but she still tried to maintain her composure.

"I don't have feelings for you Anna, as you can see am getting married to the woman I love, What we just had was for fun and pleasure, So forget about what all that happened between us, stop dreaming and forge ahead.

Ethan was about to leave but stopped, turned around and gave a mocking laugh

"You must really be a joker if you thought I was going to settle down with someone as common as you".

"Don't try to touch me or block my way ever again, He warned sternly not minding the tears that were pouring from her eyes.

"In fact, stay away from me and avoid anything that concerns me, I don't want people noticing or seeing us together, it's degrading for my reputation.

"This is the last warning! Stay away from me" He said and without waiting, he walked out of the place".
